Firstly: Please don't suggest me to read any "Activity help threads" or just the main help desk thread. I've read it and I can't understand how activity works.

Now, I have 102 posts if I'm not mistaken. My activity has been on 42 since I had 42 posts. I don't really understand why is this happening. Can someone explain this?

Max Activity = time * 14
time = number of two-week periods in which you've posted since your registration.

list of two-week periods > https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/12saLhlUoqIdairxzuSPu6EYGrt7FN2lOstO1yDjCEbA

that should be simple enough.

Again, I don't understand activity at all and don't understand the 2 week time. Could you explain when my activity will rise?

let me give you an example then. you've only posted in 3 activity periods so for you, time = 3.
3*14 = 42 max activity.

Could you explain when my activity will rise?

after the next period begins (refer to the spreadshet) AND after you've made at least one post.

Say you have 2 people, a spammer who might be like you who spams 30 posts in a day, and a normal guy called diamond

From Lets say May 1st to 14th: you have 420 posts : Your activity = Time * 14 = 1* 14 = 14 ACTIVITY
From Lets say May 1st to 14th: Diamond has only 3 posts : Diamonds activity = Time * 14 = 1* 14 = 14 ACTIVITY

It basically means it doesnt matter how much you spam, a guy who only posts one post every 2 weeks will have the same activity as another who spams a million posts a day after 3 months.

This is to prevent spammers from spamming just to increase activity and to get into signature campaigns or sell their accounts.

Why do you want to increase your activity/rank anyways?

Oh okay. Thanks. That explains a lot. I'm trying to gain activity to be able to increase my signature space and to be able to put on an avatar.

Just take your time. When it comes the day, you would be happier than waiting everyday and checking your activity to see if it has risen or not

There is no time, when I check meta, i don't find this question asked over and over.
Maybe we need to make an easy to understand tutorial?

Edit: @Quartx, it is clear that you checked how much I post every week (barely 2-3 posts from 50)... Random answer from a yobit guy...

@maku: just watch meta for a while and count the posts asking about activity, you will notice that there is a problem somewhere

How hard is it to understand that activity is determined by a twoweek timespan counter instead of post count? Just like how your post actually counts towards your bitmixer payment as long as you post at least 50 characters.

No need for that. Current tutorial/explanation is sufficient. Some people will ask about everything, and tutorial isn't gonna help them understand.
Time interval limit on activity is imposed that people won't spam their way up to hero member in a week.

Also if you see someone with high activity number - you are sure that this individual spent on bitcointalk significant number of days - reflected by his activity.
