Your Pool is missing "None of the above" or "other" because the antivirus Im using is not in your current list.

Tell which one you're using to add it.
Right here:
Well, Im using Comodo Internet Security. Been using it for some years now and i think the free version is better than AVG and Avast.

You didn't include malwarebytes on this list which is what I use. You should add more AV's to this list because it's missing some really good ones.
I also am wondering what the purpose of gathering this information really is? you should make it more clear and perhaps some more users would contribute.
All in all though its pretty harmless either way just you have to realize that bitcoin people are naturally paranoid.

Right?

I don't understand what people do in order to get these viruses/trojans/etc. - it's common sense, really

I unboxed a netbook for a co-worker & set everything up....ONE WEEK LATER she had 500+ infections.

Another co-worker gave me her laptop & there are over 1500 infections. FIFTEEN. HUNDRED. I CAN'T EVEN QUARANTINE THEM with MWB (I can remove them but the POS spits out a stale cigarette smell so I've been procrastinating)

Ransomware - how are people even getting ransomware nowadays?  What are you doing/visiting/clicking?  I just don't understand  Shocked

Ransomware can be injected to vulnerable websites with very low security, any one can get it.
Hackers do this mostly.

Any website you visit is at risk, so take care and have adequate protection.
It is not about what site you visit.

And its gone.

You better read this https://www.linux.com/learn/myth-busting-linux-immune-viruses
Really you got to have something to protect your system, don't say it will never happen because it very well could.
Stay safe.

And its gone.

I am using malwarebytes and it is probably only thing you will ever need.
It works like a charm.

Kaspersky with a license is very strong. Kills all those "bugs" in system.
But it eats too much resources.

I personally use MSE, since it is a lightweight and very unobtrusive client.
However if I am trying to clear viruses from the machine I use a whole suite of scans that can take up to 6-8 hours to finish.

MSE is just basic, you better use an antivirus in addition to it.

I was probably the person who often like to replace anti-virus, don't know why, it seems no one has matched or maybe I like to experiment with something new. Earlier I use McAfee, Norton, Avira, Kaspersky, Panda, avg, avast and others that are not so well known, and this time I tried 360 total security, free and have some anti-virus engine.
