In the layman's point of view everything can be circling around the price or value of the coin so if we are to talk on that area alone then probably China has a big leverage on Bitcoin..

If I think again, it is also true that China indirectly controls the movement of bitcoin prices, because whatever is done by the largest bitcoin market in China will greatly affect the overall surge or decrease in bitcoin
if the bitcoin holders the majority of chinese then it could be controlled by china. but all depend on the market, because in the market is not chinese people only. chances are they did come with big capital then they can control the bitcoin market. Just because mining has been centralized in China doesn't mean that it fully controls bitcoin's power. The only autonomy they have over bitcoin is the same power we all have. We can manipulate the price. And since there are big mining pods there, it means that they could also have the same power we as investors and users have. That's the only control China has over bitcoin, nothing more, nothing less.

China of course ,today is moving forward to progress, but I do not think that it controls the crypto market.America controls the finances.

People here have claimed that Bitcoin is in fact controlled and ruled by China, as mining is centralized by Chinese mining institutions.
Do you think that China is controlling/ruling bitcoin yes or no?
I don't think China controlled bitcoin it's just there are many people from china use bitcoin in their daily lives because we know that china has one of the higher population in the world and there are more interest in technology so maybe it is one of the reasons why they use bitcoin and why there are so many users of bitcoin in china.

I wouldn't be surprised to know that Chinese are controlling the bitcoin, as they have been controlling many businesses all over the world. They are very advanced in doing these things.

A great topic for someone who does not know much about it or wants to disassemble it in more detail. I think this is very useful information.

Not their government, but the Chinese have a lot of influence on Bitcoin now, because they are the main miners of Bitcoin in the world. If they have the lion's share of BTCs, they can control the market as they wish,
and I think they have a big and undoubted influence, but I'm not entirely bitcoin can be controlled by them because it is unknown maybe or there must be people out there that are equal to them

This is a decentralized market, I agree if there are whales in China that tries to control the market but to say China is controlling BTC I wouldn't agree. There was a time in early 2017 when their was FUD from China about BTC transaction been banned in China and we saw what later result from it as BTC came back strong to doubles its ATH price.

China's role in controlling bitcoin is questionable. but if the question 'when will China help develop bitcoin?' I think it will affect the world. because the attractiveness of China in terms of economics is very impressive, and their population is everywhere (in every country).

You all are discussing this like China as a country controls the mining power.
China doesn't control Bitcoin in light of the fact that their geological area has the most hashing power. Singular pools are what matter, or pools that are in a coalition and are planning to control Bitcoin somehow.

I think that China may have controlled a part of Bitcoin's mines, but they have no control over the entire Bitcoin, especially in the trading sector. Since they have banned all exchanges, those large-scale exchanges in their countries have already gone to other countries.

Yes, China is the undisputed world leader in Bitcoin mining.
Chinese mining pools control more than 70% of the Bitcoin network’s collective hashrate.

well i think No, china is nor controlling bitcoin, only the Chinese are more active in bitcoin and they are more in adopting bitcoin and the miners are also more from their country that is why we feel like China is controlling bitcoin, but they have the biggest miners. I really cannot tell who controls the majority of supplies or the whales because we are living in the anonymous world.

I don't think China alone is controlling bitcoin. There are some other players all over the world that can control bitcoin's price as well. Whales hold a lot of bitcoins so if they all decided to dump the coin, they can lower the price of the coin a lot. If they want to pump the coin's price, they can make it pump as well and bitcoin is a universal currency and have anonymous characteristic therefore it is not so easy to control it by a country, although it is a fact the chines users of bitcoin are more that any other country but still they cannot control bitcoin because of it universal and anonymous characteristic

probably yes... Chinese investors hold the majority of bitcoin circulating supply. because of this they actually control most of the time price movements... the ridiculous thing is that Bitcoin is banned in China. I hope that the Chinese govt will lift the BAN anytime soon.
