People talk about bots, airdrops, pumps dumps and all these crazy terms.

For me it all started in December. I wrote on steemit about it today.

https://steemit.com/introduceyourself/@shortafella/how-i-got-into-this-crypto-shit-a-cryptokitties-christmas-story

Then I wrote about how (also in December) I had to travel to another country to buy Bitcoin.

https://steemit.com/bitcoin/@shortafella/how-i-traveled-to-another-country-to-buy-bitcoin-a-story-of-two-cold-and-tired-people

See, for normal people like me it takes a while to get what s happening. I don t know shit until now. Hope I don't loose it all:)

The pice of Steem and  SBD is ridiculous, especially SBD.

I guess we are going to see a very optimistic year. Looks like a lot of people are tired of Facebook.

Just saw this being shared on facebook group thus leads me to finding your thread here in bitcointalk. ADZ actually came in mind when i first heard of it on facebook. okay so yeah i'll join why not. but when i was about the create an account, it says "Password length should be 16 characters or more. Password acts as your private key and should be strong." As if 8 characters isn't difficult enough to put in mind. why not just make it 8 and give us the option to set up the 2FA?
I don't think they would be asking to input a 16 digit password. I didn't face this issue when I registered. Anyways, what you need is the private key to login and not the password. You should keep your private key safe somewhere. If you lose that, then you can't access your account.

The same here, when I registered my account on Steemit I recieved a private key to log into my account! Never lose that private key, store it safe!

Just when I wanted to upgrade my Steemit account SBD seems unstopable! I quess I'll be waiting a few days, maybe will go a little low and I'll be able to buy Steem Power for a reasonable price Smiley

I love steemit because well for the obvious reasons.

I hate it because of bots system and some whales acting very cocky.

In total i like it Smiley

Yeah I agree. I've recently started blogging on steem and overall I like it, but there are some issues with the platform.

I think the community on bitcointalk is larger and much more engaged, and I feel like you can have a proper discussion on Bitcointalk compared to steemit.

I wrote a short post (that perhaps exaggerates the difference) on the popularity of Bitcointalk relative to Steemit that highlights, anecdotally, that Bitcointalk provides maybe ten times the audience/traffic than steemit, especially for 'new' steemit users.

https://steemit.com/cryptocurrency/@hassy/bitcointalk-ten-times-more-popular-than-steemit-for-cryptocurrency-news

Obviously it's likely an exaggeration, but the point still stands.

You are right, I think the same, Bitcointalk is more popular than Steemit, but the difference is that Bitcointalk is only cryptocurrency related, while Steemit treats a much wider range of topics not only crypto! But yes , I agree with you, Bitcointalk is the best on cryptocurrency!

Heard in the media today from steemit. Very interesting project, bought some coins today. Guess Steemit will be very large, soon.

Reddit is 12 years old now, time for a new Aggregator -> Steemit   Wink

I wonder in which media you heard about Steemit? Do you mean just a random site on internet or on TV, newspaper etc?

Yes, this is almost official. But you would rarely find Steemit team members or popular authors here. You should probably head to the official chat of Steemit. https://steemit.chat/home

All you have to do is press the "power down" button by clicking the amount mentioned in the Steem Power section. You will get all your Steem Power converted to Steem in about 13 weeks.

I didn't know that a "resignation" makes something a scam.

Satoshi scamed us all! Shocked Shocked Shocked

We all know what this means for steem,

What exactly does it "mean"? I will repeat my question, does a "resignation" makes something a scam?

Who benefits from your constant baseless "accusations"?  do you have some kind of personal "vendetta" against Dan Larimer or smooth?

He literally milked millions of dollars from this project
How did you come up with this very unspecific number? what "math" or proof did you use?

The whole project goes against everything that they teach in economics 101
Would you care to be more specific? it may help to solve steem's "problems" afterall! or you have no clue what you are talking about?

See you at 0 bagholder.
That's a very bold statement, none of the 666 coins listed in scamcoinmarketcap  has 0 value, yes a very bold statement indeed!

See you in moon smartass!

p.s
On your way out, don't forget to get some Dash eww, this $#!& has a "better chart".

This is crypto and Dan actions over several years speaks volumes. I was a huge supporter of BTS and was gullible to believe in Larimers. There was so much BS that the market eventually gave up. Luckily i didn't make the same mistake with Steemit. Dan leaving Steemit is a pattern. Stay away.

Old comments are hilarious.  Steem had a 100x gain from the time of this convo to its ATH a couple weeks ago.  BTS had a 200x gain.  🤷
