I wish Steem price drop down to under 1 dollar again so I can buy in bunch to get enough Steem Power to make some passive income. Writing posts don't give us anything, nobody vote for regular people.

also d.tube and d.sound posts get really good upvotes and there are many more.

Not to mention that if the price of steem follows so will go the rewards. You will need 4 times the votes to get the same $$ rewards in one post. Socialize with other people and communities, write good content and it's possible to make money.

And I doubt the price will go lower. Steem just became a top 1000 site over alexa and it keeps growing!

You have to vote something after the 15th minute to get a cut from the curation. So, if you vote yourself right away all the curation rewards goes to the author, which in this case is you

Steemit is kind of like a ponzi but less scammy. At some point, when the whales start cashing out, the value of Steem will tank (just like a run on the bank scenario with MLM's, or perhaps upcoming with Tether).

But when and how fast that will happen is still TBD. I'd watch the # of new accounts being registered. When they start drying up, that's when you'll need to be first to the exists. Even the newbies are having a hard time earning due to the dilution of so many accounts. The easy days of a few $100 per post are gone unless you buy Steem power, but for that investment, might as well pick an alt or two.

you do understand that this applies to all cryptocoins? The difference with steemit is that it takes 12 weeks for a whale to fully power down, so an immediate dump is more difficult to happen.

It was #999 about a week ago, now it's 967. Not to mention other indepedent sites running on STEEM, like utopian.io, d.tube, d.sound, d.live, d.mania and more. Numbers will probably explode even more when communities and SMTs are released.

You shouldn`t worrie about the bots, Google had the same problems at the beginning. And today they are very successful in fighting spam and scam. I think steemit will be successful, too. It`s still in beta, so be more patient. I think steemit will be very big soon.

I`m thinking about steemit a lot at the moment, it has such a huge potential, which nearly nobody can imagine. They can implement so many products, that is awesome.

Don't post crap, don't use bots, engage in active communities (e.g. science & homesteading) and you will get real votes. If you expect to make money from memes, shitty photography or 1 paragraph blogs of what you ate for dinner you will fail.

I don't do what you say and I don't expect payment from those low things. I have high quality blog about startups but there's no real votes from people who actually have power. That actually shows us how centralized this voting power thing, you just proved my point.
