If you can't remember your password your are out of luck. It is like losing your Bitcoin wallet (private keys). Gone. Recovery works if your password has been changed and you can provide the previous one (within 30 days). Possibly, someday, there might be a way to recover from a forgotten password, but there is not right now. The only thing you can do at this point is get a new account. |

Can I find somehow some statistics about how many people actually pay to read articles? Seems to me that everyone is getting money from this. In the end yes, maybe the people that are losing money on exchanges are the ones paying for the articles that they never read obv. But in theory if this is a viable project some users should be paying to read. I know I would never pay to read and many others would prefer to have ads on the side.

Users do not pay, like news sites do not charge users, other social network do not charge. So its not everyone is getting paid, earning from platform is not an easy task. People promote their post which leads to use of steam. I saw some people have taken initiative to bring big advertisers to steem platforms which will increase the use case. Now, advertisers see value in using steemit to advertise because there is huge traffic daily and its only increasing with good pace. But yes, your concern to increase use case is right, it is happening as people made products around it. Soon may be some companies will come and use steem blockchain database for data analysis and trend analysis, which will further increase the demand. So, in the end, lot of possibilities are there, i think future have potential to transform many things with steem. |

Short on Facebook

So let's move the bounties from Facebook and Twitter into Steemit!!! I created a topic to gather the few existing bounty campaigns that support Steemit. Take a look here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3095567.0Since Facebook and Twitter announced they will ban all ICO promoting on their platforms, I believe it's a good chance for Steemit to get back on track, though I don't know if Steemit would have such a big impact on ICO and crypto promo as Facebook or Twitter! Facebook and Twitter will ban paid advertise to cryptocurrency. People can still post whatever they want about whatever subject. This won’t have a big impact in campaigns and stuff. The biggest change is the paid banners, and crypto ads that will cease to exist. You are right! At first I thought they will forbid everything that has to do with crypto, including our personal actions, but obviously I was wrong! But still, ceasing all this banners and ads about crypto, seems to me pure centralization and a violation of the free market concept! |

Whenever I try to power up my Steem I receive a "Transaction Broadcast Error". Additionally, if I try to trade my Steem to blocktrades for Steem Power I similarly get a transaction broadcast error. What gives???

Steemit is so nice. I love using it. Blogging is indeed a new way of mining and it is truly decentralized. Now only people decide what they like to read. However it is hard to track a good articles and to get some attention for new user.

Could Steemit be a way of devaluing bit coin
If the value of bit coin is based on its scarcity and also thats is it the most adopted crypto currencies. Then problem for rivals is up take.
Why would you bother investing in a new coin when BC has market dominance. Based on that BC keeps its market share and its value
Steemit on the other hand has found a unique way to incentive people to adopt it . if this happens on mass and it turns out not to be a ponzy scheme. Thewn surly the only effect it can have on BC is to devalue it, as the scarcity of a viable crypto currency becomes negated by Steemit. Based on that could Steemit be the establishments way of taking out bit coin

It is a good way for talented guys to get something in return for their work in blogging, but it is a big competition. Creativity is in the first place and that is not a guarantee that you will be recognized, but if you are doing a quality and creative job you will get noticed. Think out of the box and think how many guys can do what you are doing. |

I have more than 200 followers, but I'm not receiving any upvotes and views. Question is - are more follower bots?
The problem is not in followers but in you, you can find me as clixmoney on steemit, I have more than 4000 followers, but I still receive less than $1 upvotes, but never 0, you know why ? because I am active in the community, I reply everyone, I comment a lot, I do contests and giveaways, I record video, I invite people to steemit, I came with ideas very useful to steemit, you just have to do the same and don't forget about other social media, when I write a post I always share it in facebook, twitter, and reddit and even likendin. So just be active, you can also join communities and we have a lot of them, for example I have also a big community and you can join it, we care about resteems and also give upvotes. So just keep steeming, never give up and everything will be ok. ☺ |

Hi guys, I'm writing here 'cause I need help. I'm a steemit user, I mainly share my photoworks. I moving well on the platform, but I have an emergency and I already began yesterday a total power down which need 13 weeks to complete and I don't have that time. My dog need a surgery and my situation here in Italy, economically speaking, is already borderline. I must find this money someway, and thinking on the various options, from ask for a loan to sell the car, I thought also about steem. If someone feel good with giving me upvotes I can try to cope the expenses in a week with my dog doing he surgery in three or four, operation that cost around 700 euros. I'm also searching for some charity project on the platform and writing directly to some whales but to date no one answered.
