Indeed, it's actually going down even more at the moment.
I think that's mainly due to a lack of a marketing effort.
You rarely see news about Steem, it's getting a little bit better but I doubt that many people are actually aware of all these updates.

You get merit points when someone likes your post enough to give you some. And for every 2 merit points you receive, you can send 1 merit point to someone else!

bitcoin going down but lot of alt going up... from 10 September we are now -8% (from 1630 down to 1510sat at the moment)
i like steem but it's a bad bet for me lol

The price is not that important if we will earn enough of a currency, now we have for example a new application called 3speak, I make videos there and I earned even more than I was earning when the price was much more, take a look at my profile here : https://3speak.online/user/clixmoneyThere are even people who are earning much more than me. That's why you don't have to care that much about the price when you know how the system works. Also such currencies like steem can make 10x and more, but others can't make it if we talk about trading it. |

New announcement from the steemit team. Starting from today there will be an open process to apply your posts for a chance to be Featured on steemit.com. A copy of your post must be submitted at leastleast 7 days prior to the day. IMO, there are some problems with this (like for example with community voting on exchanges, 7 days later is already too late ) but overall a good thing to have! Come on people! We can do this! lol, yeah steem is probably one of the top losers during this bear market. However now with all the changes they have implemented I am somewhat positive about its future! Hopefully with SMTs coming they will reduce inflation too... Of course, it may keep droping and nobody will remember what steem is in a year from now XD |

Another update from Steemitblog, this time on Platform Independent State Files (PISFs) https://steemit.com/steem/@steemitblog/blockchain-update-platform-independent-state-filesWith SMT development now done (just awaiting review which could reveal minor additional work) the next major announcement from the blockchain team will be the release of the testnet which we expect to happen in 1-2 weeks!
Fucking about time. We have been hearing about SMTs for three years now, now it seems we are finally getting them. |
