BTC is with out a doubt ground-breaking and has gone unbelievably far.  However that does not mean it will last the course.  It does have issues and those issues are being talked about again and again with nothing happening.  This will allow other coins that do not have the inherent problems that Bitcoin has to come to the fore.

People can make their choice as to which ones they think will succeed.  If you see one, get in early, get it cheap.  I have made my choices - make yours!

Similar thread was already created yesterday, the difference is that this one is a link to an article about the same video, while the other thread links directly to the youtube link of the video.

That is a really impressive video with short video about gigantic Bitcoin Mine. It will give you something to think about if it's really good for Bitcoin if only few big mines do all the work. This big Bitcoin mines make it really hard for single people to mine anyway by there self.

Such huge mining operations are one of the things i dont like about network "switch" to asic devices. They are to blame for normal people being put behind
in the mining process. These days its insanely hard for someone with average income to be a part of mining, atleast in a profitable way.
In one hand i admire the complexity and size of this bitcoin mine, but on the other hand it disgusts me.

It was inevitable as the competition grew to mine the scarce resources... you found a similar thing happening in other commodities like gold & silver. In the beginning there were small miners mining

with gold pans in river beds, but these days huge corporate entities have taken over most of the mining, and the people with smaller mining rigs can hardly survive and goes bankrupt within the

first year. There are still opportunities for people to mine Alt coins.  Wink

Bitcoin has already succeeded, and there are 0 alternatives that could offer the same levels of encryption and protection than Bitcoin delivers, not without the same tradeoffs, so stop dreaming for a "Bitcoin 2.0" moment because it's not happening.

If those Chinese farmers ever get tired of Bitcoin, the difficult would drop, so others would benefit. "Insane difficulty" is never a problem, is part of how Bitcoin works.

Chinese doesn't have the ability to design a proper ASIC. Those western firm build the chip. Chinese only have the massive production ability to bring a design to life.

I wonder when this was filmed, some miners look like S5's in there and not S7's. Why would a warehouse be using older gear?
Maybe it's because it took a lot of money to replace their S5 to S7 ?
Why would they switch to S7 if their S5 especially in large of number, still making them big bucks Roll Eyes
Maybe they would consider switching to S7 when they feel they need to Tongue
