chain inc are a blockchain tech startup (I'm not completely sure if it's actually a chain of blocks or something different). it's not a currency like bitcoin. so no, it won't replace bitcoin.

Absolutely, no chance of that whatsoever. That said, Chain and 21 are probably the most ambitious crypto based projects out there. And Blockstream of course.

I highly doubt that and i don't think that's a currency more like a block chain. Bitcoin also seems to be the most popular cryptocoin and for it to change just like that will take a long while.
