Hi, interesting question for a n00b here i think (hope ) So you have bitzino making the rounds of the MSM press with their 500K usd over 6 month (gross, net? Who knows, anyway, substantial). ... but tonight I was explaining bitcoin to my friend and we went through the list of gambling sites and saw Jack Vegas (no link so no one accuses me of being a shill). Turns out JV is using the same software as 'famous' casinos out there, William Hills and such comes to mind. So clearly they either licensed the software or are some type of WH in disguise, either way, you don't see them listed anywhere as making any money. So question: why is BZ so popular? is there a certain appeal to the site's 'nakeness'? Thanks!

BitZino has a first-mover advantage. Prior to bitZino there were a couple of provably fair wagering methods (bitjack21 blackjack and bitLotto.com lottery) but bitZino did it exactly right and was there at the right time. - http://www.bitZino.comThere is good competition now. http://BitcoinVideoCasino.com is also provably fair and has a great UI. I wish we would see more innovation too ... like http://KingCo.in ... simply, yet visually entertaining. BitZino And The Dawn Of 'Provably Fair' Casino Gaming - http://www.forbes.com/sites/jonmatonis/2012/08/31/bitzino-and-the-dawn-of-provably-fair-casino-gaming/mem's BITCOIN GAMBLING LIST - http://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=75883.220Bitcoin Gaming Guide - http://betwithbtc.comWhile many online gaming players aren't already "trained" to know what question to ask, bitcoiner s include many who know math, odds, EV, etc. and understand that an online wagering service taking a house advantage of 2% that offers a provably fair (seed provided by client) approach is going to beat the pants off (for not losing as quickly) as some site with lots of bells and whistles, but takes 5% or more of your money.

Bitzino has an easy format, they were in first, and they've established trust by proving their site is fair as well as by being very friendly if you communicate any issues to them.

BitZino is pretty trustworthy in my opinion. There's a lot of bitcoin gambling sites that turned out to be scams or were "hacked". Plus, all html5!

Hmm. I should have launched our site a couple of years ago when it was actually built. Now looks like it will be lost among the competition...

I don't think you have any idea of the size of the potential market. Sure, if you are doing blackjack, video poker, craps and roulette there's already many competitors so grabbing share will be a challenge based on great site design, higher payouts, etc. For instance, SatoshiCircle came out of nowhere, has a beautiful design, and is entertaining. - https://satoshicircle.comI presume they will not regret their effort to build, launch and operate their service.

Like any form of casino gambling, the house always has an edge. In the long run, it is a moneysink.

anyone know the minimum bet at bitzino in terms of BTC, I don't know that level for each of the games BitZino offers, but for Blackjack you can set the minimum bet to 1 microbitcoin (100 Satoshis). and has anyone received BTC back from bitzino?
You are asking if anyone has had a withdrawal request succeed? Or, are you asking if anyone ever wins?

The casinos that came out first have been around longer and will be more trusted. Therefore more people will play there since they are use to it and trust it. It's hard for a newcomer to move in when people already like what they know and there are so many scams surrounding bitcoin. A new casino would have to bring something unique to the table, offer a lower house edge, or both.
