A constructive post should:

- be on topic
- add to the conversation
- answer a question
- pose a question
- point out logical flaws in a discussion

I put in the last one because someone here suggested that someone currently enrolled in a signature campaign disqualifies himself as a constructive poster solely for being enrolled in such a campaign. That's called a non-sequitur and you will notice more of these fallacies when browsing the forum. I tend to think that pointing out these false analogies adds to the discussion because they can derail a conversation quite efficiently.

There are many things you should consider if you wish to create a constructive post.

Consider:
  • Will it help OP question?
  • Is it merely a copy of someone else's reply?
You must also make sure your reply actually adds to the discussion.

the post is too long is not necessarily constructive, so the point is these postings very helpful to others, and not out of topic thread title. so knowledge is necessary to make a post constructive.

You have to make good in topic post , contain useful information, or comment or reply some question in the topic, it's shouldn't being too short too , but the long post is not necessarily constructive if it's off topic or without useful meaning.

Constructive posts are the ones answering a genuine question. You should answer clearly and in relation to the question asked or the topic, also try to write in correct english (excluding non-english sections of course).

Constructive posts should:

1. Have a complete thought.

2. Explain why is someone's reply is wrong or explain your answer.

3. Be on topic or be related to what you quoted

4. Not so long and repetitive that people would become lazy to read it.

Just a quick note, don't just grasp the last reply, try reading back for a page or two. You might be somehow just repeating someone else's thought.

It can be anything that contributes to the conversation or adds new thoughts or ideas, and generally should consist of a sentence or two. Something such as "I agree" is considered a not constructive post.

in order to make constructive post, you need time and focus so you can maximize your post quality.
Since many try to get rid of post count, better make a quality post so you will not got ban

in my opinion, make constructive posts very simple, remain in the thread title track and not out of topic.
does not have to be long, quite short, dense, clear and useful.

Post what comes to your mind.

I absolutely disagree. Posting "what comes to your mind" can lead to false informations (maybe you don't remember right) and, obviously, not always it is useful or helpful to other people.

in my opinion, make constructive posts very simple, remain in the thread title track and not out of topic.

I agree with what you said. It is popular that "Long post = constructive post" but that is no true. Every post can virtually be "conscrtuctive", even one-line ones.

Any post that adds "value" to the discussion. Most of the people will say dont write one line post, but I don't think that is truth. Some questions can be answered in a line itself. But people who actually want to contribute go beyond one line. Avoid common phrases like "good" "I like it" etc. that can get you perma banned instantly. Most importantly, enjoy your time here.. Smiley Cheers..!
