Bitcoin can be regarded as an international currency based on its coverage. I believe it is used globally even though it is not recognized by the authorities. My own country declared it illegal a few months ago. But they have now realized that it is gaining popularity and therefore they announced that they are planning to put up regulations on its use. Once this is done, I think it will be one of the few countries that will recognize bitcoin and accept it as legal tender

In some countries, you can use the bitcoin to buy things without any problems. In some countries, you cannot.

It would prove that bitcoin is not that popular, bitcoin is widely use in the crypto and if I were not mistaken it's popular in bitcoin gambling sites as the demand is increasing due to the fact that there are a lot of gamblers in this world and bitcoin is good for gambling.

The bitcoin is not popular now. Most people still use the fiat to buy things. But you can also buy things with it.

"But we eventually exchange btc for money". That is not necessary. Eventually, the bitcoin will be a currency, we can buy things with it.

Its already an international currency not only because of population because compared to the world population, its still low but because of the fact that I can exchange with anyone around the world in a matter of minutes and its settled the point of acceptance is where the issue is where I dont have to convert to fiat to rent an apartment  or buy food in an eatery or even pay for transport. Its really something I'm looking forward to.

Bitcoin has been used for along time now , and without knowing it it became an international currency , the only problem is is that is not stable it does not have a fixed price that is why investors are afraid of it and thats is why it is not treated as an international currency like US dollar and Euro, but my hopes are that one day the bitcoin will stay at a certain price that way every one will use it and treat it right.

The supporters are making that possible, the adoption have increase from different part of the world hence it succeeded to grow progressive and that can be witness for this year's growth. This currency is international but not all of us can enjoy with our aim for using it, one example is lack of big merchant adoption that could help to make it more popular.

Bitcoin is quite often seen as an outsider in the world of finance, simply because it is not issued nor controlled by a bank or government. But there are several downsides to the traditional monetary system as well, which was clear for everyone to see during the recent years. Yes, even now, for me bitcoin is already now the international currency its because i really helps us in many ways especially when it comes to transfer money or in transactions.

Do you think the fluctuating prices are stopping bitcoin to become an international currency ? I do not think so.

A certain and stable place level will not help bitcoin in my opinion. Yes, it will not attract new users into bitcoin ecosystem, so if it happens then bitcoin will not get spread all over the world to new people.

I think we can say that bitcoin is already international currency online because almost all people world wide that has internet can use bitcoin.. many ways and many alternative that you can deposit or buy bitcoin and you can spend it without knowing by government if bitcoin is ban in your country you can be still use bitcoin in your house which is you are holding a funds for a long time that someday  bitcoin will not ban n your country..

I agree that bitcoin had been performing as an international currency.  The fact that anyone can use bitcoin as long as there is a bitcoin accepting merchant, or a third party processor of bitcoin is present in a country.
Well your government is wise enough to plan to take advantage of bitcoin opportunities.  there is no doubt once your government established a fair regulation for bitcoin users, your country will be one of those that have a booming bitcoin economy.

Yes there are two internal parts of bitcoin ecosystem is working for it to get it as an international currency. The first one is, advantages and benefits of bitcoin payment system which are not available with existing fiat nor other electronic payment systems.

The second one is which is pushing bitcoin to be international medium of exchange by getting more people into it is the investment characteristics of bitcoins. Yes it attracts people and bitcoin gets spread from that.

I am not in favor of the idea. Due to many reasons. Like how it is limited, Bitcoin that can be circulated virtually is up to 21,000,000 which at first is big but all of us 7 Billion plus sharing it would not be enough to be considered as a global currency. Also another big thing is the lack of internet for some people in which Bitcoin transactions takes place. We must also consider that confirmation of transactions is long, the shortest I had is 45 minutes which is long if you are buying something from a store.
That is the very same critique they use against gold, and it is simply not true because you don't need to use a full bitcoin in a transaction you can use a small fraction of it, what this means is that every bitcoin is going to become very valuable, which is the same that happens to gold.

Yes Bitcoin - a coin, which can be split apart. Each of these parts has a very great value, now and in the future will be even more expensive. The popularity of Bitcoin is growing. Maybe now is not the time to say that it will become a global currency, but in a few years it will be possible

Well, as it happens, so many things will change. possible before it happens, those who hate bitcoin will oppose it. Well, maybe if bitcoin become an international currency, the transaction will be more practical, but to make it accomplished, I guess it will not be easy

Well, as it happens, so many things will change. possible before it happens, those who hate bitcoin will oppose it. Well, maybe if bitcoin become an international currency, the transaction will be more practical, but to make it accomplished, I guess it will not be easy

Yes it will be hard, It needs to go to a needle hole to accomplish that . As of now despite the demands of many customers some big companies like amazon or ebay are still not accepting bitcoin,  There are still many reasons why they are not accepting it as a payment method . Of course there will be a group of people who will oppose the acceptance of bitcoin cause they think it can increase the illegal activities or something but as long as we its supporters are still there and keeps increasing,  We can outpower them .
