After reading through these forums, we definitely need a new way to hand out codes for free bitcoin codes. How often do we see where after a post or two, massive amounts of codes are already used. Most of us know that people are scripting quick redeems. I feel we need a way for people to only see one code that saves the rest for someone else. Does anyone have any ideas?

The thing is they hardly happen anyways, and the best way would be just asking users to post their addresses.

That is easy, build a system that displays them as an image, and only one at a time, so after it is redeemed move on to the next one. Also make it so you can't see the codes, so maybe have them encrypted server side.
What did you mean about "encrypted server side"? You cannot encrypt something and then have someone have access to it without the decryption key. You could obfuscate it with visual distortions through.

This tends to be the way it happens. Something like:

Quote
Bitcoin Giveaway: 0.01 BTC for posting your address and your Modest Mouse song title (limited to first five valid posts)

Works wonders and tends to filter out spam.

The quoted offer will be honored as a demonstration of the technique.

Looks like this is definitely the best way when bitcoins are being given out.
