Private permissioned ledgers will never have the same appeal for developers as public permissionless Blockchain technology. The days of proprietary code being used as surveillance tools are also
over... people want to know what they downloading and see what they using. Most of them cannot understand the code, but some of them do, and those people will keep things private for the rest,
who wants some privacy. These centralized private ledgers are also prone to attacks.. so security wise, Bitcoin and public Blockchains are still tops.
