Bitcoin regulation in California

Based on articles and other information available online, does a bitcoin exchange need any licensing to operate in CA?

From what i can find, seems like the answer is NOT CURRENTLY.

BitLicense 2.0 California Edition.

Well, it is to be expected. I foresee that eventually every state will have their own version of BitLicense, some better some worse. Identical to the way tax legislation work now.
Let's hope it will be created by people who actually know what Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies are all about.

now i can see that most of the topic are about the legalization regulation etc so its mean that now the time is coming nearer when the states are going  to legalize it in near future. i think that is the plus point of bitcoin.

i do not think so. i think these are just the speculation and not the real information about this. but i can say that in near future it will be so. not only California but so many other cities and countries are going to take step for the legalization of bitcoin.

i think it is the problem of most of the countries. most of the countries have yet not legalize bitcoin. and i think same id the case of California. i think bitcoin is still not legalize bitcoin but we can hope it in near future.

I think those people who are living there in California can answer you better. because we are living about thousands of mile away from California therefore we have no such an idea about California that either bitcoin is legalized there in California or not.

just like other countries it is also an issue in Califoria. i think bitcoin is yet not regularize in California. may the officials of California may be thinking about this. but still there is yet no conformation about this.

but i have heard the news that in California bitcoin has become a legal currency the govt have regularize it and now they are going to aid it in stock exchange. but still i am not conform about the news
