Hi

So I had 0.6498 BTC in my wallet there and it was transferred to some unknown BTC address without my knowledge and the location of login shows unknown. I have read many other similar accusations for paxful and its really bad that they are doing this. It is most probably the owners of the site that select random accounts and steal money from it.

PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM PAXFUL. THEY ARE SCAMMERS.

Once i was trading some scripts and the buyer was using Paxful and he send the bitcoins to my address A3DFGbhk....  and instead the bitcoins went to address A3D5tf78... , see the address change after first 3 digits.

Wouldn't it be that the person sent to the address A3D5tf78... on purpose and made it look like Paxful commited the fraud ?
I am trading on Paxful and I am concerned by this, but in my 12+ trades I had no issues.

Usually, when posts like these surface, 99% of the time the OP's account has been compromised by various means: hacked, phished, remote controlled, whatever. It's always the same story - I've been there. I learned the HARD way how important is personal security when it comes down to updating/patching your system on a regular basis, running sensible AV software, securing your network communications, not clicking outright dumb/fishy links, etc. There are so many threats out there that it if you do not take steps in protecting yourself - you are going to get burned, sooner or later.

So what exactly happened? Did you contact support? Used the same password somewhere else? Your e-mail login/pass leaked? Did you have 2FA enabled on your account?

Personally, I have been dealing with paxful and LBC for a little less than a year and I'm yet to witness funds to have disappeared out of nowhere or my accounts being compromised out of the blue - but I take good care of my personal data, I always set maximum security options on my profile. The communities on these sites are large enough to make the owners a decent buck, so I don't really buy the fact that the staff running it would specifically target random users and disburse $ to their liking, makes it highly unlikely. Paxful has been running for like, what, more than a year? They would've already disapperead from the horizon, if they scammed their own users. Never had any issues with them, all good.

As mentioned, 99% of the times in my experience it's user neglectance for personal security.

Can you not cancel the transaction and put back in my wallet? This would seem to be a simple solution.

Basically you have my BTC and I have no access to it for 6+ hours.

PLEASE HELP ME WITH A SOLUTION or FIRM ANSWER this is very frustrating! I am sure you would be worried and upset if it was you no?

Hi Marcos,

Do you have an estimate when I might get an update or when the transaction will happen? I simply want my request to be put in the blockchain. It has really been a long time and I am worried. Please just let me know what is the problem and when I can expect a resolution please?

in your case the situation was different, you sent your money which you didn't received, may be a blockchain issue or something happened like that. But the here people are talking about something else.
probably this might be the thing

They scam people account itself and When people say that this site is a scam they use to say that "You were Not using a 2 factor authentication"

So if you are not using any 2FA please start using it from today otherwise you will loose your money.

Issue seems to have been with bitgo

bitgo is a multisig wallet service.

bitfinex recently had some issues with bitgo.

paxful has explained that their bitgo setup is not the same as bitfinex setup.

I have not had any issues with paxful.

We operate on Paxful from very beginning, had 2FA activated and never had any problems.

There has been a lot of phishing websites simulating Paxful, thus your user credentials might have been easily leaked.
