I didn't do any research like I should have and now I have a feeling I am being scammed.  I deposited money into this guys account and he will rarely respond to my texts and has only responded to my emails once.  I paid 12 days ago and paid for 3 day guaranteed delivery.  Any thoughts?

considering that once your payment was verified transfer of the BTC should have been near-instantaneous, i'd say yeah, sounds like he's jerkin' you around.

The Founder and CEO of BuyBitcoin.com is also probably the most famous person in the Bitcoin world...  His name is Bruce Wagner.

Trust is nice and all,
but you really should never trust Bruce, he loves to scam people.

If you send someone your bitcoins, you should expect never to see them again.
If you do get them back, then good for you.

Bruce got me for $900.  I sent $900 for 10 coins 2 weeks ago. Paid by cash deposit at BofA.  Even paid extra for 12 hour guarantee.  Nothing.  Zip. Zilch. Have filed complaint with NY Attorney General's Office, my local PD, FBI and tomorrow I file a lawsuit in my counties small claims division.  If after all that I get stiffed I'm planning something more sinister for Mr. Wagner.

Good luck with getting your money back. Smiley

Silk Road for bitcoins if you really want to stay away from the trade centers. Atleast they have a middle man system (not that it works 100% of the time).

I didn't think buybitcoin.com and Bruce Wagner were still around. He's still tweeting all the time, though: https://twitter.com/brucewagner
