What is the best website to trade BTC/USD?  I'm thinking both in terms of trust of website and quality of trading platform.

It depends on what your goals are and where you're located.

If you want to simply buy a lot at a good rate, AND you live in the U.S., I would recommend Gemini (if your state approves it) or itbit.

If you are looking to sell, I would recommend localbitcoins.  You can get a decent markup, the platform is good, and you have the option of selling online, in person, via WU or MG, etc, even by mai.

You can also have buy ads on localbitcoins, and sometimes, you can buy below spot.  Sweet  Smiley

there are many exchangers that you can choose from to trade bitcoin with fiat (USD). the most popular ones are bitfinex, kraken, Bitstamp, btc-e and my signature coinsbank which is the old bit-x

there is also coinbase for easy usage and also as a trusted wallet.

Weak hands have been complaining about missing out ever since bitcoin was $1 and never buy the dip.
Whales are those who keep buying the dip.

If you just want to buy BTC personally, I'd recommend Localbitcoins. The sellers are usually very good in terms of customer service, and you get a way better experience than if you were buying from big exchanges.

Also you can get better anonymity. That is very important IMO.

Depends on how secure you plan to make your trades, and the accessibility. BTC-E.com is a great exchanger.

Maybe you are asking the wrong question.
Not the best website, but the most trusted person to trade with.
Most websites are platforms where buyers and sellers meet to trade.

It depends on where you are located. If you are in Europe, use Kraken. If you are in the US use Coinbase - but if you are in New York the only exchange you can legally use is Bitstamp because they're the only ones who have a bitcoin licence from that state.

Yeah kraken is good to trade your bitcoins, You can find escrow system at the website while you open the trade. Kraken is especially for Eastern region and If you are Asian you can go with Localbitcoins.com It is largely using site for bitcoin trading in Asia and middle east.

I honestly think Kraken is pretty okay and they are offering some nice tradings, I think this is indeed one of the best in Europe if you look at others.
Some are also charging more fee's.

I use Circle and they're excellent but anytime you have to link a bank you're asking for trouble if you do frequent trades.  Coinbase servedits purpose for me, though I had to wait for the bitcoin and their markup was more than Circle.  I'd stay far away from foreign exchanges with USD.

there are many choices that you can choose from in order to trade BTC/$ and they are all trusted like Kraken, btc-e, bitfinex, coinbase, circle, even some other exchangers (mostly altcoin) like poloniex, c-cex, cex.io, ... you can choose one based on your preference and your country of residence or also their payment methods.

the best site is always Kraken, coinbase, localbitcoins, and many more that have listed on this forum, they have good reputation and reliable exchange, its why we should get any information about exchange before decide to use that exchange many times.
