I checked my email this morning and found a password reset email, and that someone wanted to recover the password but I haven't been to Yobit for a while. It could be that someone is trying to hack my account or something, but I am wondering if anyone else got an email to see if maybe there was a username DB leak or something.
If the person who tried to reset my password reads this: I don't have any coins on my account, and probably never will because of the amount of problems YoBit is having.

Some one is trying to hack your account i think. Scan your computer with kaspersky. Enable 2FA.  Change your password, move your coins to some place else. I wouldn't keep them in that pc's wallet btw.

haven't got a stray password reset email from yobit yet, but that kind of thing is not all that rare on sites where your account(s) may have a worth. I wouldn't worry too much about it if your email is secure.

Trusted an exchange that climbed to the top 3 in just under 2 years with your money? you are fucking stupid.

maybe it's a fake email and someone sent it hoping that you will fail in that trap , I got similar emails in one of my old emails saying that I need to activate my paypal account but I don't have paypal and it's not supported here  Smiley
and maybe someone knows your email and knows that you are using yobit
also yobit mail list may be hacked but I don't think so cause we would see more people discussing this here

Try to check if that reset password link is valid, it can be fake probably. I have an account there and i haven't received any email from them, too many bad reviews recently about YoBit, so withdrawing the coins from there is preferred.

Malwarebytes anti malware found nothing,  and Bitdefender didn't either.  The thing is, if I did install a virus by accident, I'm sure my Electeum btc would be gone already. I also don't see a point in adding 2FA in my YoBit account, since no coins are stored there and they probably never will.

I rarely visit Yobit, and I haven't used their trollbox, so I don't think this is why.

I have not received any such an email but be ware , many hackers are turning back to the thing which we learn since 5th grade in school thats the most common hacking attempt, phishing. Maybe someone is trying to do that to you. Assuming you are using Windows (cause only there these kind of things are common and normal) scan your PC but that won't help much. I hope you have 2fa enabled in both your email and yobit account. I have 2fa enabled in both of them and nothing has happened so far. For me this remains a phishing attempt.

I think you get that email in the email you have posted or have in your profile in some of the sites your have joined eg. facebook as anyone can know your email seeing that he may have tried to access your account and click reset password at last to force you to change it to simpler one. Better you just ignore it and don't post your private email which you often use in this forum or in any other public places.

I am on Yobit and I did not get any reset email. I guess, someone is trying to hack your account. Change your password and use a strong one. Contact Yobit and tell them. They should have logged the IP.

Do you mind opening the link and checking if its the actual YoBit or another phishing link ? Doesn't look like it though since hacker knows the amount of coins you have,he would not benefit from sending a Phisihing link to you.

I received also the same email from Yobit about password recovery at 14 may 2016, 12:15. Not sure why it happened and from who it came but it was not me. Till now I don't know where this attempt came from and if there is an reason for it.

I haven't received any password reset with my YoBit account. Just as OP said, it's highly likely that someone is trying to get access to your account. Well, that 'hacker' must've been bumped to read that your account doesn't have any coins.

No, I haven't. It's probably a phishing link, better stay away from linking that link.

And I use yobit quite often so... I know what I'm talking about.

No. I haven't received any password changing emails yet. but a similar situation happened to me once.. I've lost my yobit coins automatically, I don't know what happens but when I opened my yobit account I found that my btc wallet is totally empty (thank God, there wasn't so much money ;#). I think my account was got hacked but hacker didn't changed my other information password email etc. and I changed everything immediately and since then every thing is Ok.

Check the link, I think It's Phishing attempt, the idiot thinks you have a gold stashed on Yobit and wanted to retrieve them Tongue
Neither of us have receive any emails from Yobit, maybe you posted your email openly on forum ?
That leaves a big gap for scammers to scam you

From now on be more careful when opening any links from your email, I don't think he would stop from there, and the next thing you might receive are email from "bitcointalk" Tongue
Be safe brother

Okay, I did not considered this in my first post. I also could be a phising attempt of course. You should check the link first if it is really pointing to the site of Yobit (yobit.net). If it is pointing to a different site, you should leave the site immediately.

Received such email too but i didn't do anything to it. i don't think it has to do with viruses/malware that i have to scan my computer the fact that no exe will run on linux and i'm not even runing WINE. just ignore it and nothing will happen to your acount. i just wonder how they got my email.

Probably a phishing attempt. Were you giving your email address to other people? Maybe to someone that you transacted with before. If yes, then probably someone's trying to hack/phish/bruteforce your email. Now that you have enabled 2FA, you can assure that your account will not get hacked in the future unless the hacker has access to your device.
