there might be no rise even until after the halving and most whales may keep the price down to do some more shakedown and then after the disappointment of newbies the price will explode to the moon and then those newbies come back and push the price even further up.

Weak hands have been complaining about missing out ever since bitcoin was $1 and never buy the dip.
Whales are those who keep buying the dip.

i have been bracing myself for the halving for a long time. you should always look at the far future not a short time in the future. i have bough bitcoin when everybody was crying about the price at $200 and now i am laughing at them.

bitcoin halving almost there... http://bitcoinclock.com/

Always interesting to talk about bitcoin next project, the halving. many people busy with preparation for halving by safe bitcoin as much as they can,and prepare to sell it when halving come, and some people busy with bitcoin miner, for me,its not much interesting, just wait for what will happen when halving come.

Thats why coins in tradings sites are sleeping maybe the big holder and investors save their btc in their wallet and waiting for halving and sure with that many people will earn by this event coming, and i have big feeling that big crash will also occur if all holders start to sell their coin after the halving and hopes it cannot affect the bitcoins price and remain steady for its high price.

There is really nothing that you need to do for Bitcoin halving. All that is really going to happen is the price rise.(for us investors that is of course)

If the price goes down after the halving people will lose their nerve and start panic selling 100% and this will lead to even more decreasing of the price. I hope this scenario would not happen and we will see a normal pump and dump like it's expected. Personally I will sit on the sideline and will watch what is going to happen until the end of the year and I will make my move in the winter or during next year. It's very bad to make premature decisions this summer.

I think 75% of the people expect too much from the block halving, and that may indeed lead to heavy dumpings after the block halving if they see the price didn't go up a lot. But then again, people will sell anyway. If the price goes up, people will cash out their profits, and if the price doesn't go up, people will sell because they are disappointed or simply expect others to sell as well so they sell in panic to not fall behind.

True, many people are accumulating as many coins as they can, so as to dump when the rate of BTC goes up.
This will lead to people dumping when bitcoin goes like 10% up.

That will probably decrease the price of 1BTC.

I know I have heard a couple times know that is was going to happen soon but I never knew when exactly it is going to happen. So I hope that it is going to happen soon because I have been looking forward on buying more coins.

I will be on vacation during that period of time. I think I will switch off my phone/tablet and wait for a big surprise (which I expect none) when I come back...

I dont think the price is gonna move much...

how many miners stay on board now that will change....

if something like thunder was being launched to spearhead a way to make bitcoin sizable like VISA
now that's a game changer.

imagine bitcoin transactions validating in seconds  Shocked.

I assume that it won't be sudden spike of price and huge bubble right away after halving will hit. But instead market reaction will be delayed like it was in the case of previous halving.
Most likely Bitcoin price rise will be staggered throughout the rest of a year. I guess we will see real implication of halving in about year from now.

To be honest it won't be a major pump that we are expecting but we will see higher price for sure as everone is hoping that this halving can be profitable.

Yeah block halving is nearly done sooner more months to go.. but the value of bitcoin is not so fast i think it takes more days or weeks or months to see the price increase..  For those who don't know when block halving will be done you can see this updated block halving count down http://www.bitcoinblockhalf.com/

Community and the whales are the ones who move the price. So if we're buying but the whales are selling then the price won't increase even after halving. New mined BTC will be sold at a higher price in order for the miners to be in equilibrium with their expenses but if there will still be sellers at a lower price point or those who put sell walls then those high price might not materialize.
