it's really help gamers to purchase any games on their service, i bet that will be more gamers purchase the games using bitcoin than other payments, due to the it's simplicity, as we know that gamers are familiars with bitcoin, and it's such a good news for the community that finaly steam accept bitcoin officially

Oh congratulations mate on the purchase Do you mind if I ask which game did you buy on Steam? I bought Doom with Bitcoin on Steam because I am a big fan of the series and been enjoying it a lot these past few days. Valve did a great job introducing Bitcoin on Steam and they surely have a lot of Bitcoin customers buying games.

Well, I'd say it's an achievement for you to purchase your first game from Steam with bitcoins. I've already bought a few cheap games with bitcoins from Steam because I was worried it might have any issues at first but so far I haven't had any issues at all

I want to buy a game now on steam too using Bitcoin for the first time, but it's way too expensive, so I was considering buying a cdkey in some place like g2a, which is at almost half the price, but im too paranoid about the cdkeys that those guys are selling being stolen or something. I mean how can they sell a game for half the price? there must be something going on, and it's a new game.

they buy those games in the promotions like the summer, winter sales that steam has. for example steam sells many games for half the price (or with a good discount at least) from time to time to encourage players to buy those games that nobody is buying any longer because of the high price, so these sites buy at that low price and sell with a little profit to us.

Congratulation man, you miss one point. I think you have also payed very little fee compared to payment via card. I have paid 10% fee today in withdraw from my visa card. We need independent bitcoin atm card not related to visa nor to mastercard.

This thread would have been much better, if you added things like this : ~ I bought Hitman {The Title} with Bitcoin on Steam {with a photo as proof} ~ Then you could add some interesting comparisons eg. I would have paid say $10 fees with my CC, but I paid only $0.01 as miners fee. ~ The payment took eg. 5 minutes to complete ~ I used BitPay / Coinbase or whatever other service they accept. {I think at this stage, it is only Bitpay?} That would have been a much better thread to start off with. Can you please give us a more detailed explanation of your experience? Thanks OP for sharing, now we know it's working.

But there are games that get released recently, so there is not a possibility that the games have been in steam summer or winter sales. For example the new Doom(2016) game is new released a couple of days ago, and it's available in g2a already for almost half the price... something weird is going on, I would not trust those sites, like the other poster said, they may be stolen.. otherwise where is the business for them?

Hi. I've been itching to get a copy of H1Z1. How's the experience? Smooth seamless with Bitpay? Are you paying any premium or charged certain % more than regular payment methods?
