I received bitcoins correctly and tried to send to local bitcoins, which I have done many many times, but it has been unconfirmed for almost 24 hours. Can anyone help me with this?

you didn't include any fee you only included 0.00001 fee so of course it'll take long. nothing much we can do to help.

Oh, I see that now. Thank you. I forgot to change my settings back. Do you know how long it can take?

If you didn't pay any fees then It will take some time (Let's say 3-5 days) then It will eventually go back to the sender (you).

If any miner accepts low fees or even 0 fees for the sake of those people who send coins with 0 or very low fees.
Might take 48 hours but eventually will go through don't worry.

Or might never complete honestly I don't know exactly what happens. Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Shocked

No worries, it will get confirmed eventually.
Impossible to say when, but if I have to guess then would I say less than 24 hours.

can take as long as 3 days depending on your luck. the bitcoins will return to your wallet if the tx still doesn't get confirmed after 3 days (unless someone is continuously rebroadcasting it.).

though you can double spend the transaction after 24~ hours. but you'll have to import the private key of that address to a different wallet and create a new transaction from there.

Nothing prevent him from double spend them now, if he want to.

I thought it won't work because a most of the nodes still have the old transaction and will reject the new one as a double-spend transaction?

Yes you are correct about that nodes that already have the transaction in their memory pool will not accept the double spend.
You can still transmit a double spend any time you like.
As you say if the old transaction is in all possible nodes then will the new transaction not be accepted... if not rebroadcasterd then will they will eventually they be dropped.

ah, okay. I actually just about to try that myself when electrum stopped me because the fee is too low (0.00001BTC). apparently we can't send low fee transactions as of 2.5.4.

@OP
it seems that are using a version that doesn't give that warning. you should update to the latest version.
