Are you a victim of TeslaCrypt ransomware?

Instead of paying $500 in Bitcoin now you can decrypt the files for free.

One of the developers of TeslaCrypt posted on the TeslaCrypt Dark Website:

"Project closed! Master key for decrypt: 440A241DD80FCC5664E861989DB716E08CE627D8D40C7EA360AE855C727A49EE. Wait for other people make universal decrypt software. We are sorry!"

Hehe, you beat me to this, was going to start a topic (this popped up on my news feed) but got distracted with a reply. Was going to put this in Press, btw.

This shows a great deal of maturity. This doesn't excuse the initial fuck up (theft), but surely the Lord smiles on a contrite soul.

Good shit Smiley Although I wonder if legal pressure didn't have a hand in this 'act of mercy'.

Edit: took a look in the Press sub, we both got beat to the punch Grin:

Please help! My work computer got encrypted with RSA4096. I got the necessary Bitcoins and transferred it to the requested Bitcoin wallet. I got a confirmation number that it had been transferred. I input this number into the correct location on the black mailers link but when I press pay and tried to submit it, it says "draft failed". I have tried repeatedly since then to resubmit the confirmation number but every time I press "pay" I just jump back up to the top of the page. If anyone knows how to get this confirmation through so that I can get the encryption code PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE help. I am willing to pay a small amount of bitcoin to anyone who can help me get this accomplished! Thanks in advance

The master key is a welcome news for many people, although I am not affected, I am saving a copy of the key.

Have you tried to use the master key in the main post that i posted? If you were/are infected by TeslaCrypt ransomware then the master key should work, the developer of this has made public the master key.
