I was wondering if there was a market interest for raspberry pi's preloaded with linux on their SD cards. The primary use of these is for Armory. If you don't know armory is a way to have your wallet on two computers. One online and one offline. The offline one is untouchable by hackers and it holds your private keys. It's useful though because you can still create a transaction on the online computer and sign it with your offline one.

I see one "kit" is on amazon for 89.95. It's probably possible to get a lower price

so is anyone interested?
Would you want armory to already be installed or not? I haven't used raspberrian but installing is usually easy in linux these days.

You can do even better:

Put bitcoind and a js rpc frontend with webserver on there.

Node-In-A-Box with pullable sd card so you can take it with you :-)

It takes over an hour to compile the current client and 2 days to sync the chain tho...

interesting,

What about an Arduino based hardware wallet that you can make payments with, some crypt devs & hackers need to get it done yesterday.

You may have something to market if there were any way to guarantee that you haven't pre-installed anything malicious.
My intention with this reply is not to be negative about your idea, but to provide feedback and additional ideas to build upon yours.

If I were a noob and looking for a cheap offline solution, I would only buy a "kit" if came without an OS and I had to install it (and Armory) myself.

Maybe you can provide the package of hardware and detailed instructions on how to download install the OS, then install the Armory offline bundle which includes deps etc.

Most people with enough sense to know that they need an offline wallet also have enough sense not to trust someone that they don't know.

Thoughts?
