I'm looking around and I'm not sure where to start on this. I have some time to kill before a new GFX card arrives, and I figured I'd do some CPU Litecoin mining in the meantime.

I am interested in this too. I thought that ltc was supposed to be cpu mined what happened? I have access to large amounts of cpu power, why not use a cpu to mine?

CPU mining is about 10x less efficient as compared to GPU mining, for instance my 2700k clocked at 4.5 GHz only nets me about 60 kh/s but uses about 225W.
