a quote from avalon letter:

Quote
Starting from next Monday, units will be en route to their country of destination and tracking numbers will follow maybe 2~3 days after (it is at this point onward which you can expect an email from us with the tracking information), we expect this process to continue to the 10th of March until all the units have been shipped out, if all is well people will get their units in-hand in the middle of March.

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

NICE! That is an impressive photograph.

It's going to be an interesting spring mining season!  If bitcoin sticks around for a few decades, these will be the times we remember...

BFL beat them on that! They lied first...

Also, as pointed out elsewhere, BFL already posted photos of boxes & fans... Nothing more to see here (boards, assembly areas, etc...). With as long as Avalon is taking to get their units out, it's almost still anyone's game (with regards to getting ASICs to the masses).

Avalon at least had a test unit working right? Does BFL even have ANYTHING in the field working right now? Avalon at least sent a couple working units out.

We're fucked

This is not some pseudoeconomic post-modern Libertarian cult, it's an un-led, crowd-sourced mega startup organized around mutual self-interest where problems, whether of the theoretical or purely practical variety, are treated as temporary and, ultimately, solvable.
Censorship of e-gold was easy. Censorship of Bitcoin will be… entertaining.
