Bitstamp.net charges $1USD for each 225XRP.

If you want to get rid of your XRP from the giveaway and receive Bitcoin, at the current price of $98/coin you should not give out more than 22,000 XRP to get 1 BTC. Here's a handy chart:

50,000 XRP for 2.27 BTC
40,000 XRP for 1.82 BTC
30,000 XRP for 1.36 BTC
22,000 XRP for 1.00 BTC
20,000 XRP for 0.91 BTC
10,000 XRP for 0.45 BTC

1 BTC for 50,000XRP is a 227% markup.

Yes, there are wily traders out there that milk XRP-seeking noobs for all the market can bear, but 20k btcxrp rate is just plain silly: rarity-wise, it is the same as stating that XRP is almost as good as BTC. Ridiculous statement when you're comparing a mature and battle-tested decentralized opensource platform with a centralized closed-source experiment still in its early beta.

Why are you offloading Bitcoins for XRP then?

I am also looking to buy 300 XRP so that I can verify my ripple account and take part in beta

(I hadn't joined the forum early enough to get the ripple giveaway)

- I can send BTC in advance to senior member or above - let me know
