Hi, I added a place on Openstreetmap.org that accept Bitcoin using the key payment:bitcoin. See: http://www.openstreetmap.org/browse/node/2178760338
I use a great android Gps app called Osmand, that use the data from openstreetmap. The app has options to search/filter places in many ways. I would like to search all places that accept bitcoin, but I think an icon need to be created first. (If I understood correctly)
See the topic I created on osmand google groups. https://groups.google.com/d/topic/osmand/8dwH1jKsRqU/discussion

Anyone here is able to create a pull request on osmand for bitcoin icon?

Good idea. The first time I mapped a point of interest on openstreetmap related to Bitcoin was when I added a domino's pizza restaurant in northern Greece(in mah home city). Though I now know that http://pizzaforcoins.com/ only works in the U.S.A. + that they are a proxy and that domino's don't accept them directly but what the heck: If you can buy food for Bitcoin I'm all for it  Grin

There may still be hope for the 1st decentralized cryptocurrency which is Bitcoin. How to approach different subjects is key to progress.

Do you map any on openstreetmap or do you just enjoy that lots of nice geoinfo is out there?  Cool

Congrats teste! I see you've done work here as well "Kyrios Pousada" tourism=hotel http://www.openstreetmap.org/browse/node/2185635271

Also notice that opening this thread may have had some effect. At March the 3rd a 3rd geolocation was added for a place that accepts BTC!
Then we have stick who've added 'hackerspace' some non-profit in Prague, Czech Republic. I just imagine there are lots of geolocations that accept Bitcoin, but we just haven't made this data free(and linked!) yet. Though +3(3 nodes in total with the tag payment:bitcoin=*) for the current work!  Cheesy Keep it up!  Cool
