is Coinbase hacked? it seems that many people are reporting suspicious transactions/withdrawals and double charges for bank.

we will see that in the next week:

https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/4ktvpk/whats_going_on_with_coinbase_very_suspicious/      Grin

https://community.coinbase.com/latest  - many reports from customers.

if you are Coinbase client, it's better to stay away for a week or so...

When the support says "our team is investigating" no doubt that'll be something happen and they want not say, I really hope they solve these problems.

That is just nuts  Angry
A lot of people have their bank accounts linked to them via coinbase accounts. If this is happening for sure then that is major bad news for them.
They just started an exchange for ethereum today too  Embarrassed

Let's hope not, if it is hacked it will probably have a huge impact in crypto market(not a good one).
But i agree with @slowdeath, "our team is investigating" doesn't sound good.

OK.. warning, major conspiracy theory incoming :

~ Was Coinbase a honey pot for the US government from the start? Collecting information on US citizens and their Bitcoin holdings?
~ Are they being hacked, because they turned around and f#@%@ the Bitcoin community, by joining up with Eth? { That is, if they are being hacked, because it was not confirmed}
~ Is this just a fake rumour being spread around to hurt the Bitcoin price, before the breakout? {Halving}

Just throwing some ideas around, to see what people think about this? The timing for this, is just too strange...  Huh

Well that's a real bad news for small bitcoiners like me. I have most of my savings in to coinbase account only.

I have just withdrawn all my coinbase funds to my blockchain account.

Well better safe than sorry... you can always put it back if this turns out to be a hoax. I have seen no public statement from them denying these allegations yet. I hope we will not see a repeat of the

MtGox fiasco. I never used their service, because I do not trust centralized services. There has been reports that people's accounts was closed previously, because they used Coinbase to gamble, and

this was against their ToS. {Which is justified, because it was clearly stated} and also because underage kids used their service and that too were against their ToS, if it was not done via a legal

guardian. Bitcoin should have no restrictions... if you want to use your bitcoin to gamble, it should be your right... or if you are underage, you should still be allowed to use Bitcoin. {You can do both

with cash... so why not with Bitcoin?}

Well I just checked, all my coins are are still there and I'm not gonna move them, I just can't be bothered to panic every time there is a hack. I have like 98% of my coins with Coinbase and if I lose it all well that'll be that. Coinbase is one of the most well-respected companies in Bitcoin, I trust they will take care of this one way or another if it is indeed a hack.

Yep - there is clearly a concerted effort underway to spew disinformation about Coinbase due to their decision to add ETH. This effort started days ago here and on reddit. I'd venture to guess it is being propagated by many of the same folks that attacked XT and Classic. I suspect its also linked to recent reports about problems with SPV clients, DDoS, etc.  Some core devs recently spread what looked like disinformation about SPV wallets to a random user on one of the IRC channels.  There's a desperate attempt maintain control of development process right now. Do your homework, ask questions, be aware that everyone has an agenda.

Ouch - I hope things will clear up!

Another hack or even Mtgox-type scam would be a real bummer.
