According to the blockchain halving rule, the Bitcoin block mining reward halves every 210,000 blocks, the coin reward will be decreased from 25 to 12.5 coins at 10 Jul 2016 13:24:42,

Can anyone predict what will be the exact time and date for the next halving after this halving?

You can guess, but that's all it will be. In the last 3 months, the halving this year has moved up by more than 2 weeks. There are a lot of variables and it is impossible to even try to make a prediction based on anything known.

It is possible to predict. Watch!

When the current halving occurs down to a 12.5 btc block reward the next halving down to 6.25 btc will occur approximately 4 years later.

I thought that july 11 halving will be done.. Its better to watch block halving in this  link http://bitcoinclock.com/
And i see that block halving will be done in 10th of july Looks like anytime the time for block halving can be change because i saw the time before its 11 now its 10.. weird..

Yeah... But give a date and time and watch as 4-6 months gets shaved off

Alternatively, bitcoin never makes it to the next halving and it will be off for everyone

It was the 20th a few months ago. It is an approximation based on how long it *should* take to mine the 420,000th block, the hashrate/difficulty, and the rate blocks are being solved at. It is not a set date or time. It is every 210,000 blocks no matter how long or fast that occurs

One thing for sure, the next and the future halvings will arrive faster as long as the hashrate keeps on increasing (in the long run).  This is because the difficulty retarget only occurs at a fixed intervals while the miners doesn't care when they comes in.

Trusted an exchange that climbed to the top 3 in just under 2 years with your money? you are fucking stupid.

Only if the Rate of Change is also increasing. If it rises at a more consistent rate, then 4 years (on average) from the moment of block 420,000.

blocks take 10 minutes on average, although it's usually a bit faster on average, because the mining power grows and the difficulty adjustments always lagg behind a little bit.

if you count the amount of blocks we still need to fill the next 210,000 blocks and then multiply that by 10 minutes you can get the approximate time with reasonable accuracy, although it's likely that the actual date and time will be a bit sooner than that.

sure plus or minus few month
but let think like this would it be possible to occur sooner i mean in two years maybe or 2.5 years
have anyone speculate on that?

Not to mention they keep on producing powerful miners every year or so carrying more hashes which accelerates the difficulty increases even further. Wondering what will happen 3-4 years from now in the mining industry.

Something was bothering me, the time you write is not the same as bitcoinclock.com, this means that your prediction is not necessarily accurate, how can we predict the exact time for the next 4 years?

It seems to me on the background of this information, the price of Bitcoin owes much to increase reading about it in many themes

It is difficult to tell now what will be the next halving come.
I m sure no one can predict perfectly, only can guess it.
Secondly, we have exact time so we can judge it what is the day will come behalf of this time.
But we should talk about this halving 2016, we have no need to talk about the next halving when it will be finished i think than we will talk about the next halving, because now everyone's eyes in this halving.

Noone can predict actual date as even guessing time to get next block found is not certain these days as some of the blocks are only getting found after 1 hour however they are expected to found in 10 minute.

I don't think so anyone can predict it, i think we should considerate in this halving and we should welcome it and try to best to get profit, after this we can guess it when the next halving will come. But it is a second step.

it's 10 minutes on average

over 210,000 blocks this average is pretty reliable.

you can basically say it's close to 210,000 times 10 minutes. (it's usually a little faster because the lagg in difficulty adjustment, but you can compensate for that too, it's not too hard to make a reasonable prediction).

It's far easier and far more reliable than for example predicting the weather.

I thought that the halving was going to happen a long time ago but I am still waiting for something to happen. It has to happen with in the next couple of months if not then the rumors were for nothing.

You can never predict the exact time for the next halving after this one. The blocks are mined at 10 minutes on average, but in reality it's not always 10 minutes. It can be slower and it can be faster. It depends on the miners.

Bitcoin halves every 210000 blocks. So that means the next halving will be 420000 blocks, and the next next one 640000 blocks. That will be on average at around 2020, somewhere near that. When we get closer we can get more accurate with the prediction.
