I am a newbie who have been surfing around for the last three days trying to understand as much as possible about Bitcoin, and I just love the idea! However, when I have tried to find an easy and quick solution to buy some Bitcoins I have had no luck! The Bitcoin-OTC seems like a brilliant idea but I suppose I am just not technically minded enough to understand how to actually register and contact people there...  Sad

I can offer payment via Paypal, Moneybookers, Neteller or a UK bank transfer, whatever you prefer. I would rather not to use my Paypal account since it would be a real hassle for me if they closed that down, and I have noticed that people say Paypal doesn't like Bitcoin, (no wonder since it might eventually take over their business!  Grin).

I understand that there is some risk for the person selling me Bitcoins with all of the above payment solutions (with the exception of a UK bank transfer) and I am happy to do what I can to make you feel more comfortable about the transaction, (maybe we could speak on the phone or Skype?). My Paypal, Neteller and Moneybooker accounts are all several years old and fully verified.

If I can find someone I can develop a trusted relationship with and who has a lot of Bitcoin that would be ideal. I would like to do many Bitcoin purchases over time, and I also know several other non-technical minded people who don't want to deal with wire transfers to a company in Japan etc. just to buy some Bitcoin. A couple of them have asked if I can help them buy Bitcoin since I do business online, but this seems harder than I first thought.

If I can find someone who is a trusted member on this forum and would be willing to help me out (at a price of course) I would very much appreciate it. As a first trade I would like to buy maybe 20-30 Bitcoins, but I am sure I want more of them shortly after the first trade!  Grin

Hi Warren,

I think you should check out https://britcoin.co.uk. An exchange based in the UK, and it is being run by a trusted member (genjix) and bitcoin project developer. UK bank transfer is the only acceptable method to fund and withdraw. He is running the exchange commission free at the moment.

Never ever use Paypal or Moneybookers to buy or sell bitcoin, and stay away from the Bitcoin-OTC irc channel for now until someone find a way to kick out the Paypal scammers.

I did not receive any private messages or instruction from anyone before, and when I first created those graphics, not even from SN.
