Logically if anyone think, no one should have accepted his/her offer because, in this world, no one will give up 500$ just for simple work. Now it is less than 1 BTC because today one BTC price is 530$. But there are no fools in this bitcoin organisation to accept this offer. He wanted a clear selfie of you holding government issued ID (drivers licence or passport.) And a clear picture of the ID itself.

And why someone want something like that? imo only to impersonate wrong person. Or to fake ids. Because nobody else woulud give you 500 Dollar for that.

I was expecting something like needing my ID with a Selfie or something like that.  I would have loved him to have followed through, for I would have him use escrow and I would have sent him something that would have been red flagged, so when he tried to use it, he would be picked up for something very bad!!  Then I would have had the pleasure of keeping his $500 and thinking about all of the bad interrogation techniques they would be using on him/her!!
