But the biggest change comes in the form of how consumers are forced to prove 10% of their yearly expenses through additional documentation. Moreover, receipts from cash purchases do not count towards this cap, which forces even more payment card usage. Not something most consumers are looking forward to, that much is certain.

It might work in cold places where they enjoy obeying their government such as Denmark.

The further south you go and the hotter it gets the chances of it being followed to the letter are borderline nil. Greeks will find a way around it and be more cash orientated than ever. The previous strife is a wake up call.

Is this real? I want to know this isn't just hyperbole, I believe Max Keiser predicted Europe or rather the G20 doing something along these lines awhile ago and he reckoned that they would create some sort of digital currency to try and 'save' the economy.

Today less than 10% of money is real: 90% is digital. We don't see it and most of the time we don't know how this whole thing works.
To ban cash is the last effort before we could be all marked, profiled and who knows what else. Scary if you ask me.
