Thought it would be pretty interesting to find out the amount people have wasted on these schemes.
This can be either knowingly or unknowingly investing in a ponzi. I'd suggest avoiding ponzis that are not yet proven as their profits may change as a result.
I know there were some great losses from emicoin last year of more than 60[tc] in some cases!

If you feel this is a repeated thread, don't hesitate to pm

Actually you should make it more clear, you mean ponzi like bitcoin doubler or cheating cloud mining or you mean scam coins as I see you are also posting emicoin. Anyway this would be a nice thread to put in the service discussion area if its not gambling related. There it will spark much more discussion as I have seen people are really devoted against these things and this is good for this forum and bitcoin itself.

Anything that follows the Google definition of a ponzi.
A scheme that uses profits from later investors to fund previous investors.

I took onboard the advice and think this was where you meant to move it?

I obviously mean how much people lose on one invidual ponzi as well, not the total of ones that they have done, for if I said that, I would be in profit.

Actually there are tons of them where people lost money, I remember Scrypt.cc and Hashprofit did steal a lot of money both combined, and both were promising false cloud mining operations. Now there are a lot of like those websites trying to do the same and people still believing this shit.

There were also sites like carbon7.cc which lasted for a year and must have made loads of profit!
There are many sites that can be used as ponzis, and I am unsure as to what the point of that statement was?

Ooh, you were lucky like me! Some users lost loads of Bitcoins venturing into the Ponzi environment. Mostly done as newbies to ponzi schemes.

Ore-mine.  Fking ore-mine.  I should've known better, but because it was around for so long and hadn't gone under yet I decided to roll the dice and lost 0.2 late into the game.  It's not a huge amount, but still it's money I shouldnt've lost if I was thinking clearly.

0$ because you should not trust them even for 1 cent those are just f*** i** who are are taking your hard earned money.
Why humans are still greedy and belive in such snowball systems it's obovious that you will lose your money anytime soon!
So use your brain and stay away from that and you will not lose your money better use it for something nice or safe it for later.

NONE for the last 3-4 years. I ve been very careful with that big time after I lost a few bucks during my early internet investment phase where I played some HYIPs. After that, I ve learned to ask questions before I invest. Who, what, where and what collateral. If I do not get answers, I pass on this.

I do research first before dealing with someone or service. It's ridiculous see people still investing on ponzi scheme, although they know if the site is based on ponzi scheme Roll Eyes

I've lost about 0.06BTC in a ponzi. It was the time when i know about bitcoin for the first time and i thought ponzi is a real investment program and also invested on it, within few days they gone with my money. After that i never invested even a single penny on ponzi.

During the start of investor-based-game period of 2015 (2014?), I participated in a few ponzis and even kind of "vouched" for them. I stopped not because I lost my Bitcoin but because a lot of new ponzis is spawning up. And most of them shut down within a month. Anyway, I believe I have lost more than 0.01 Bitcoin but no more than 0.1 Bitcoin.

So sad! This profile does not appear as the #1 result (on anonymous) Google searches anymore.

Well you can't blame then. It comes with experience. When I first saw some offers from previously legit companies offering 'cloud mining' I was surprised too.
As their offers were pretty good, but not on the level of 'totally unbelievable high bullshit ultra return profit' that was the reason I fell for it.

I do not know exactly...perhaps 0.02 or so...
I have been lucky at the start...I have often won good profit...so I could re-invest other where...
But I have definitively stoped investing in ponzi shemes...
I do not regret...it was funny.
Nowadays...I just try ponzi shemes for free...Globally I loose "my accounts"...but time to time i could withdrawn...I have so if I lose...only lost time...but it was fun to try for free.

I do not put in the same basket "ponzi sites" and "scam sites" because you can be scammed with "no ponzi shemes".

I had lost around $900 in the beginning of 2015
They are not actually a ponzi but their services and products smells like a ponzi
They failed to fulfill the promised they made with us which caused the share price to fall by 10 times and made me to lose 90% of my investment

They are still in function but with another CEO
