Who actually would pay that much for these centralized closed source stamps? Starting to suspect a bunch of people that work for ripple have came along creating shill accounts to try and make them sound in demand.

My best guess is either people who are interested in becoming a gateway or hoping their value goes up to try and sell to gateways which will require it to create accounts. It takes very little XRP to use the network.
