Yeah that's true. It has been on for months already. But the transaction fee is almost ~30%. Imagine how much you just lost from buying BTCs. Most people in the Philippines prefer to buy from other people that they know has some bitcoins.

I never experience this thing before.  But the adoption of bitcoin here in our country is amazing you can load any time to your wallet in coins ph wallet.. the fee i think for every 1 btc 500 pesos or 0.024 actually not a fee its just a rate margin for every buy bitcoin or sell bitcoins..

The Philippines seems to be romping ahead in terms of Bitcoin cleverness. Having said that in this particular case there was ZipZap which was a very similar thing in the UK which was available for a while which appeared to precisely nothing to encourage adoption before disappearing and was available in 30,000 outlets.

I have lots to thank for Coins.ph because it is what allowed me to participate in Bitcoin Smiley which subsequently was also what enabled me to transfer and earn cash online.

I just checked now, and it seems like the fee was reduced (I think) or was I mistaken about the fee and it was gamex's fee? I know that there's a way to buy bitcoins and the fee is ~30%. Probably gamex, though and not 7-11 of coinsph.

I used to buy bitcoin in coinsph by using share-a-load or pasaload even if the transaction fee is almost 10 pesos to 20 pesos.  Sadly, mobile load isn't supported by coins.ph anymore.

I heard this happened in Taiwan awhile ago, selling some kind of bitcoin value cards at 7-eleven. However, I heard the effect on mainstream adoption was not significant- I am not sure if they still do that but rumours say bitcoin is illegal in Taiwan.

But not all 7//11 stores here in the Philippines are loading bitcoins at coins.ph wallet. Here in my town I already asked 2 7/11 stores if they have 7-connect(payment system to load bitcoin) but they said it is not available. I hope 7/11 stores that don't load bitcoin will be inform that they are accepting this transaction now.

I am using coins.ph but haven't tried loading up at 7 11. What i usually do is make an online fund transfer to their account and confirmation is almost always very fast. I find it a hassle to go to a store just to load my wallet. Or maybe I haven't found a way for me to benefit from such a service. But it is nice to read from other posts how they envy that the Philippines is among the big supporters of bitcoin all throughout the world. Being the social media capital really has its advantages.

Well, I'm taking advantage of coins.ph move in 7/11 convenience stores. Not only it has helped me do online shopping, it also helped me in recharging my steam wallet funds and make it a business (seeing that Steam has finally integrated bitcoin into their system PLUS it's much cheaper than any other steam wallet retailers out there). Spending a dollar for a 3-dollar profit is one of the most proudest things I've ever done in my life. Thanks to coins.ph and 7/11's partnership. Also I think that the general population of the Philippines are getting to know bitcoin little by little, which I think is a good thing for us all.

The only annoying part when you are using 7/11 to buy bitcoin is their internet access.  I had experienced that i need to go to three 7/11 branches just to pay for the BTC i ordered.  The nearest one is offline, then the next one which is a 15 minute ride from where i'm from has intermittent connection and at last i got a less than a minute transaction on the 3rd branch.  Cheesy .  I can say it is a breeze to buy BTC if the 7/11 branch  near you has good internet provider Cheesy.
