The reason its not going up is because everyone is just sitting on their coins waiting to see what will happen.
Everything right now depends on new users.
Someone posted an interesting article about Kimdotcom and Mega announcing a service that will use BTC.
If something like this happens and we see new users the price will go up.
Otherwise its going to be stale since probably 75% of people that own coins just sit on them and hope for the price to double so they can get rich.

I think bitcoin price will go down a bit then bitcoin price will start to stablize. After that depends on what happen, it might go down deeper or start to climb. But I think it will more likely to go up because the recent bad news about bitcoin will then be forgotten and new people will start adopting bitcoin again. |

I like this steady rise in the price. It just means that it will more stable in the future.  Yup steady rise is better in compare to sudden bubble, and if price keeps on rising slowly then its positive indication that price will go much higher in future. Yes, a steady rise is what is preferred by holders. On the other hand, traders and speculators love volatility. They make money in both directions - so they wouldn't mind a huge spike followed by a crash. Not quite according to Coinbase. For the past 4 days we are in green, meaning there's an increase of price but as of August 9 from $593.78 of August 8 went down to $591 yesterday so that's -$2.93. Biggest so far +$12.16 which is August 4 $568 jumped to $580 on August 5 There is no need to worry about short term price action. The price has risen over 100% in the last year, it will continue rising. i hope that it will keep on growing in the future, bitcoins will definitely grow over time because more companies more countries and more people will be accepting it There are few companies in my countries accepting bitcoin than before. The expedia.com used to accept bitcoin, but no any more. Why is that? I don't understand why companies that use to accept it for payments for their services and products are all the sudden not for whatever reason. Is it not popular to be branded as taking bitcoin anymore?  |

That's not what I hear when I talk about Europeans. In fact I am sure most Europeans are into innovation and bitcoin being innovation at it's best makes it interesting for them. Yeah, I also think that Europe will be a place of innovation bitcoin. Surely if everyone living in Europe to talk about European rulers bitcoin will find a way out of it and it would be a tremendous advantage for bitcoin |

you are right the price of bitcoin is very good if you want to buy bitcoin, but i think bitcoin price will be rise up to higher too much faster sooner so its perfect time to buy bitcoin. Some people believe the price will get to 1k within this year, this is not something I see happening. If the price goes up it will be of news or manipulation. So far i see no indication both will happen. Thus it seems likely for the price to settle now. |
