They must be eyeing off the great Crypto reset as a way to

Are they realy first? I thought that some other countries, even some states in USA have put Bitcoin under some legal framework on the state level.

If the rule is created for bitcoin on positive things about Japan (legalize Bitcoin, etc) then it is very profitable for us, because by having it already assured other countries will try to follow the steps of Japan

By taxing it they would only push it back to the "grey economy", or by other words, to free market where it belongs Smiley

bitcoin is legal..
until they make laws to make it illegal. bitcoin is legal by default.

laws in the world ARE NOT that your automatically a housebound person unless a law allows you to leave your house
laws in the world ARE  that your automatically allowed to go where you want unless a law forces you to be housebound

as for you suggesting that japan should tax bitcoin.. are you seriously that tied to fiat that you want bitcoin to become a fiat.

leave bitcoin as a independent asset currency where it belongs. and only tax income when it gets converted to Yen.

I DO NOT TRADE OR ACT AS ESCROW ON THIS FORUM EVER.
Please do your own research & respect what is written here as both opinion & information gleaned from experience. many people replying with insults but no on-topic content substance, automatically are 'facepalmed' and yawned at

Maybe ,the legalisation bitcoin in japan has already lasted some time ago, but I think recently exposed by the media, for now. japan wants to make a domination with bitcoin and other countries believe using bitcoin become a currency is safe . not make many problems  for using bitcoin.
