I wouldn't accept bitcoin in my business yet if I had a business. Reason for this is that no one wants to work with a volatile valuta.
Of course it's great for investing potential but for owning for example a store then it's not good at all.
That's right, a lot of the merchant owner are think for a twice about bitcoin, but this just for a merchant are know about bitcoin. the volatile is be a weak factor for bitcoin and another from that the worst thing for the local store are wanna accepting bitcoin are the confirmation forget a legal stats.

As of now I don't have my own business but if ever I am going to have my own business just like selling of paintings or any artworks.

Then I would be gladly to accept payment with bitcoins and the value will be equivalent to dollar value but changes may vary.

So if there is a fluctuation then the price will change too.

We have two business models, one is Crypto investments, so yeah we take Bitcoin there and we also have three local brick and mortar offices that serve other business models and no, we do not.  We love Bitcoins, we push Bitcoins, we live Bitcoins, but here is the thing.  Our services take about ten minutes for a customer to browse, shop and whatever and the standard 1-3 minute checkout time.  Cash, near instant, credit/debit near instant, Bitcoins…….well.  We could let the customer pay and go, without any confirmations.  In the beginning that should be fine, but as the word spread and that payment method gets more popular, there will be some joker that will defraud the system

If I have a my own business, I would most probably accept Bitcoins. The reason for this is the fact that some people earn Bitcoins online and are unable to withdraw them because they don't have a bank account or because of their personal reasons. Bitcoins, no matter how it was obtained, can be sent to my Bitcoin wallet designated for my business.

And unlike other payment methods like Paypal, Bitcoins cannot be refunded back to his wallet so just seeing that my wallet says "Receiving" then I'm pretty sure that there should be no problem later.

Yup, I accept Bitcoin both online and in-person.  If there is an option to pay somewhere with bitcoin I will.

I'll even leave paper BTC tips at restaurants on top of a regular cash tip Smiley

Nothing to worry if you are in offline business because you will not be subject to accept bitcoin, like I said in the past bitcoin is only good for online transaction and you cannot market the entire population because still majority of the people transact using paper money in an offline scenario, but still you have a big market if you come up with a great business idea.

Yeah bitcoin is  only  good for   online transaction but  still it would be a good idea and it really depends on your place though if bitcoins  adoption is  high, if  you saw that theres a good potential  on your place then you should proceed  hence there would  really people would go to your  shop/business.

In the day of sidechains, it would not be hard at all to create your own, isolated network “Bitcoin” from the name to the symbol.  It works between five to twenty wallets, all isolated from the blockchain and the internet.  This self created blockchain would, of course start with the same rewards system and mining diff.  Within a day, each wallet should have 1-1000 fake BTC.  Write your own mobile app or hack a pre-made one and have the mobile wallet get its info from your private network and your are walking around with what looks like a gold mine.

Why complicate something when you already have one that is functioning well?  This is the common problem with very intelligent people. They always try to reinvent the wheel instead of participating in the current system and help in improving and maintaining it.  The problem with creating another blockchain is the support if there is some problem that occurs in the blockchain.

I don't accept bitcoin in my business if I had business because accepting bitcoin right now is not a smart move with the volatile prices you'd have to ask me one more time in a couple years to see where bitcoin is standing that time.

You never need to worry about the volatility of bitcoin prices when you are having an exchanger to immediately convert back your bitcoin payments into your local currency. There are a lot of that party payment processors are providing this services to enable and help merchants to adopt bitcoin payments.

That means that we will get ripped off left and right some where in the future.  The alternative?  Have a person stand there and wait for at least one confirmation?   Get enough personal info to track them down if it is bad?  These are not comfortable business practices for either us or the customer.

What? I can lose some of my amounts every time, every minute and second and what the hell about I don't need for feeling worried about that. I lose my amount and I lose some money for paying my worker. come on dude time is money.

I don't accept bitcoin in my business if I had business because accepting bitcoin right now is not a smart move with the volatile prices you'd have to ask me one more time in a couple years to see where bitcoin is standing that time.

That gold mine should also be able to pay many third party Bitcoin wallets and private wallets.  Or, at least appear to.  That is until the network kicks it back.

That is why the confirmation system is there.  It might not be that easy to pay a true blockchain wallet with your magic forked wallet, but it can be forced through and appear ok for a few minutes.  It would be the Bitcoin “bad check”.

But that's the beauty of bitcoins and the only reason why many have already accepted this beautiful beast...
This is still infant and getting accepted by Microsoft, Dell, Purse, Overstock, etc...
Don't you think that if the volatility would have been the case, none of them would have ever accepted this in your opinion, right???
