It is really nice information for me, I was also thinking for to create my own online wallet for my bitcoins, I have a good knowledge about server, but I am a little experienced in coding and not have much knowledge about that, so that is becoming a hurdle in my way. But whenever I found some time I will go there and will try my skills to get the goal.

Depends on a few factors ,you can definitely start a new wallet.Honestly I will ask myself the following questions before planning out anything

-What unique featuresI have to offer so people can migrate from their currents wallets to mine ?
-Would it be a desktop wallet or webapp ?
-How can I provide extra security layers which doesn't exists yet ?
-How I'm I planning to make money by providing the service ?
-Should I use a 3rd party API or write my own ?
You would have to write your own API ,that's a hint!

Note that he only says "wallet" not "wallet provider" - OP can you be more specific please? Do you want to create your own paper wallet or a wallet on a online site, where they enable you to open a

online wallet OR do you want to create an application or a service where other people create wallets? This should be posted under newbie section, IF the question is on opening or creating your own

online or offline wallet. Which is it?

To be honest it sounds to risky to even bother with this unless you really know what you are doing, one wrong move an you could lose your bitcoin forever....... Lips sealed

it would be difficult to make your own wallet so try hiring a coder who knows a mass amount about blockchain and other wallets so you can be sure that it is secure and legit

Can i make my own bitcoin wallet?

I guess it could have been. but what is not too much trouble? and how about safety? I guess the best way is to use the wallet services from providers who are already trusted and proven safety. I suggest using the wallet from blockchains.info, there are many options wallet, from online, pc or smartphone. thank you

wallet provider service

if you mean a service like blockchain.info or even something like coinbase and xapo i would say you are going to have a hard time getting anybody to come and use the wallet because there are these services available and each of them have counterparts already so there is no room for new ones.

sarfy.
anyone can make their own wallet or wallet service.

but.
if you dont have a clue how. then maybe your not the right professional expert to be running one right now.
if you dont know what new inspiring services to offer. then maybe your not the right professional expert to be running one right now.

i recommend you walk before you can run and learn what bitcoin is, how to program it and what services and offerings bitcoin currently has. then find out what the community desire that is not currently provided.

yes you can but the only problem is knowing on how to create one and how to market it and what would be the purpose of creating new coin when there are already many. unless you like to be in history like Satoshi after creating the idea he was just gone.
