In this case, it is a moneypot app that only earn so small amount based on the wagered amount on the site. I dont think the competition is started already, the leaderboard is still the same as before (owner do not reset it). if you wager in order to participate in the leaderboard contest, so it is better to wait for the official announcement. But if you are just want to bet for some profit, so you can go on it and good luck.

Quotef for future references, but I wonder why they cant make a new leaderboard for the competition? Is it hard to do so, as I see some other moneypot apps are doing wager competition as well but they can make the leaderboard is easy to be read. I mean players do not need to count how much wager has been done by themselves or by other players.

what @Bitnity said makes sense and we know that but I would let run this contest as it is because it is not a big hassle to check the ranks. and it does not look good to announce a contest and then close it after the start

in the meantime you can code or let code the clean leaderboard for future contests

Hmm, cancel it again and again. You should make everything is OK before you restart the comps in the future. Dont make your players disappointed because they have just started to wager but you suspend it again.

Not all people have good amount of money to start a gambling site as the bankroll. Here by using MP, they are basically no need to spend money for bankroll. Even I would say, it is better for them to use MP because it is a trusted bitcoin gambling wallet.
