hey, i have been searching trying to find some info on how to setup an external graphics card to my laptop so i can mine decently..
Everything that i have found have been rather confusing and not so helpful..does anyone know how can i setup one? i know it might cost a lot but i prefer connecting an external card then getting a desktop..
i am interested into making an amd radeon to an external card for my laptop..if you have any suggestions for a card that would be suitable as external please recommend..

Thanks in advance

My advice would be not to do this and get an ASIC when they come out, not only will you have to spend a bit on this kind of setup, the upcoming ASIC's will make all GPU mining unprofitable. Also your laptop may overheat if you plan on using it to mine 24/7.

Just so you know, most ASIC miners are USB and will work with your laptop no problem.

There's a lot of speculation on what will be profitable or not.  Try reading through the forums on the butterfly labs website.

I have 4 pre-ordered, and everytime I mine a little extra, after paying off my costs and EC2 bill, I pre-order another one.

But, if you can afford a larger ASIC right out of the gate, get it if you're serious about mining.

I am more worried about the time it will take to arrive in the UK to be honest. I read in forums that it can take up to 5 months.  Shocked No other asic miners apart from avalon and bfl? Why is there nothing for europe!  Cry Cry
