This story about the kid that crawled under the fence in Cincy Zoo to get rag dolled by a gorilla has had some really funny offshoots connected to it.

Video of story:
http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/world-news/astonishing-new-footage-shows-gorilla-8082168

One was people attacking white people even though the kid in question was black.

Or these stories on parents:
A Gorilla Is Killed, And Our Parent-Shaming Culture Springs To Life
http://www.npr.org/sections/13.7/2016/06/01/480284223/a-gorilla-is-killed-and-our-parent-shaming-culture-springs-to-life?utm_source=twitter.com&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=npr&utm_term=nprnews&utm_content=20160601

Funny how a story spins around I bet you could set up a go fund me for the gorillas family right now and get donations.

Its a unfortunate incident for the gorilla, since its acting as if it was their own child.

But yeah, the endangerment of that kids mom should also be fired from her job since shes a admin at a pre-school or something.

So many people are outrage, they even have those monkey back pack slings for moms to hold like a leash. It sounds bad, but this could of easily prevented it as well which I see moms use now a days.

Humans have developed a nature to criticise everything. If something had happened to the kid, the same people would have screamed how the officials thought a human life to be cheaper than a stupid animal. And humans like conflicts so much that they would argue almost everything in political terms.

Humans have developed a nature to criticise everything. If something had happened to the kid, the same people would have screamed how the officials thought a human life to be cheaper than a stupid animal. And humans like conflicts so much that they would argue almost everything in political terms.

This idea that a animal is worth more than a human being is something that has been building momentum in the last say 20 years.
I remember people used to shoot their dog when it got injuried or sick and now that is a crime. They rather have you go to the vet and spend thousands of dollars nursing the pet back to life. Last cat I took to the vet was pissing on stuff so I had enough and the vet gave me the gears over it,decided right then no more cats!
But back to my point, there was a high profile case about a year a go where a guy had beaten a dog to death and it was obvious he had mental health issues at the trial. The room was packed with mostly women crying over justice for this dead dog. It was so bad the judge said that he wishes people took interest in trials where humans have lost there lives the way you folks have gathered today.
They did not get it and had banners and all kinds of signs about justice and rights for dogs.
Look at that stupid Lion that went all over facebook and twitter because some guy had gone into the no go zone to make his kill.
The best thing about that story was the people from that area saying wheres the help for us!

Think pet ownership has steadily gone up as well as people find they can relate to their stupid muts more than a human being.
Run into yahoos like this every other day, where they do not see that they are obviously lacking in some form to think a dog actually loves them the same. If a pitbull humps my leg does that mean he and I are best buddies?

Yeah you bring up the bizarre state of things for us humans being able to get our knickers bent out of shape over the weirdest things.
Kind of like road rage,I used to get hot but now I can let it go. Was starting to effect my heart I think because I would still be hot 10 minutes later.

At least in this case, the life of the animal was worth much more than the life of the human being. There are more than 7 billion human beings in the world, and on average 200,000 of them die every day. On the other hand, there are only a few tens of thousands of western lowland gorillas remaining in the world. In short, the life of this living being:

I choose the gorilla whos endangered animal vs another person taking up space as well lol.

I feel like the mom needs to pay a serious fine though for some negligence.

https://www.change.org/t/harambe-en-us?source_location=homepage

Four petitions are listed, Justice for Harambe has 469,416 supporters at this time:

We the undersigned believe that the child would not have been able to enter the enclosure under proper parental supervision. Witnesses claim that they heard the child state that he wished to go into the enclosure and was actively trying to breach the barriers. This should have prompted the parents to immediately remove the child from the vicinity. It is believed that the situation was caused by parental negligence and the zoo is not responsible for the child's injuries and possible trauma. We the undersigned want the parents to be held accountable for the lack of supervision and negligence that caused Harambe to lose his life.

Its surely Parents carelessness and they should be penalized for the same but do agree with the action by the Police in such a situation where an innocent child or human life is in danger irrespective of his race

I was not making any slight of hand or hidden objective at pointing out the child was black other than to show how many people on twitter where attacking white parents thinking the kid was white. Thought it was pretty funny to get so worked up over something that was wrong. Not a racial thing for me at all, just thought I needed to address it. Smiley

I'll be blaming the zoo. They should be fully insulating the gorilla from any possibility of morons getting close to it. And I wouldn't care any more or less if it was a small cracker.

50% of the blame is with the zoo, and the rest is with the parents. The zoo authorities made mistakes twice. First, they failed in fully isolating the enclosure. Second, they used live fire to kill the animal, when it was possible to tranquilize him and save the kid. The authorities are claiming that tranquilizer would have taken a few extra minutes to act on the animal. But the kid was in the enclosure for more than 10 minutes. The zoo authorities were not doing anything during that period.

the blacks sided with the dead gorilla when they assumed the kid was white, now that they found out he was black they accuse those who critisise the parents of "racism", you couldn't make this stuff up

Be radical, have principles, be absolute, be that which the bourgeoisie calls an extremist: give yourself without counting or calculating, don't accept what they call ‘the reality of life' and act in such a way that you won't be accepted by that kind of ‘life', never abandon the principle of struggle.

It is pretty messed it up that so many are outraged about the animal being shot but no one's outraged that we lock up the animals for entertainment.

When you take your children the zoo.. You take them to see the animals because you want to see your children's faces and expressions when they see these animals they never seen before..

You don't take them the zoo and leave your children to look around by them selves if under 10 so you can look at the animals and not worry about your child..

I would of fined the family of this child..So sad to loose this gorilla we never know if it would of done
any serious damage to this child..But it was the right choice to shoot the gorilla dead..

It's could of ripped the child in half so easily..No animal is worth more than a child's life..
Felt sick when i heard it got shot dead so sad But worst thing is that people felt more for the gorilla than the child even i felt sorry more for the gorilla at first so i am guilty..SO WRONG..

Why i say this is because we hear of children getting abused blew up shot even dogs killing children every day But a gorilla seem to hurt more..Strange do you think it's because we know what humans are capable of..

News gorilla shot dead...everyone goes nuts all out protesting...

News child gets shot in the cross fire of gang dispute..everyone goes arrrr then carry on with there lives..Gorilla the world goes crazy..

That is an entirely different matter, and you can't justify the murder of one animal by bringing up this issue. Most of the zoo animals were born in captivity, and they have near-zero chances of survival in the wild. They lack the necessary skills. Also, zoos generate a lot of revenue, which is used for the conservation of wild animals and the protection of their environment.

So rather than kill just one gorilla, you'd like to see a wholesale slaughter of millions of gorillas?  After I read your post, tears drop from my eyes too.  I hope one day humans will be able to separate reality from science fiction.

This is sad  Sad I think that if the parent of the kid had been a lot more responsible none of these should've happened. I mean, how did the kid get in there in the first place? The zoo may not have a lot of options in this situation, considering how small the kid is, he would've been injured worse even if the gorilla didn't have any intention of hurting him. RIP harambe Sad

Astonishing new footage how Harambe the gorilla was protecting a four-year-old boy who fell into his cage - minutes before he was shot dead.

Moments later, the gorilla was fatally shot in a bid to protect the boy, Isaiah, who had fallen 12 feet into the enclosure.

Harambe, a 17-year-old silverback gorilla, was shot dead by Cincinnati Zoo zookeepers who feared for the child's safety.

However, eyewitnesses to the incident on Saturday have claimed the gorilla was showing no aggressive behaviour towards the boy.

It is claimed that screams from those watching the unfolding situation panicked Harambe, causing him to drag Isaiah at a quick speed across the water.

Quote
Speaking to Mirror Online, ape expert Dr Emily Bethell, a senior lecturer in Primate Behaviour at Liverpool John Moores University, revealed that the gorilla’s body language showed he was NOT threatening the child.

Dr Bethell said:He was clearly being protective towards the boy."

“There were no signs of the gorilla being aggressive in the sense that he wanted to hurt the boy or anything like that."

http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/world-news/astonishing-new-footage-shows-gorilla-8082168

The panic created this situation.

I believe the zoo should be able to resolve issues of this nature without loss of life.

^^^The gorilla (Harambe) was clearly protecting the kid, as anyone with an IQ of more than 60 could notice. It seems to me that the Cincinnati zoo authorities used this incident as an opportunity to kill the gorilla for some hidden reason. Either they are unbelievably incompetent, or they were predetermined to kill the animal.
