How come hardly anyone plays on luckyb.it?

Does any1 know why it has a lot less active players these days.
The game is unique and  i always felt like it's entertaining to watch others bet as there are hardly any "community games" left.

I haven't played on Luckyb.it for some time now but whenever I did it was only ever 1 or 2 small bets, the game gets boring pretty quick.
It doesn't have the same appeal as other gambling games such as dice or blackjack where you can play for an hour or more, watching a coloured ball fall just isn't as fun to me.

Why are you sure there is not someone playing in luckybit while I see them running a twitter campaign and other giveaway
if no one is playing perhaps the site will be closed and could not pay for campaigns and other staff but in fact all are still running normally  
If you ask why so few people play in luckybit I think because not all countries can access this site one of which my country can not play in luckybit via browser I do not know why but it looks like blocked.

i think because players will need to pay transaction fees back and fourth just to play few games. imagine paying .0002btc outgoing + .0001btc for incoming transactions. it will be too much if added specially if you play around 100 games a day there

For example you are not allowed to call for lotto and in the old days I was only talking to lotto and pretty much ignoring the people in the chat-room

you can pay the transaction fee as normal , the 0.0002 fee are for instant game so you will see the coin dropped immediately right after you send the coins. i played yesterday and got several problem like i can't see the coins dropped so i decide to out for a while and i might join them again soon.

I don't really like playing luckybit because they are onchain, and the transaction fees can be annoying. Sucks playing tens of games, walking out with some profit only to be in the negatives from the transaction fees. If they switched to an offchain game, I bet more people would play. Right now, the only active community game really is bustabit as they have a lot of volume.

it is all about advertising!

you need to keep advertising to bring in new players, when they don't have almost no ads anywhere nobody will know about them and instead they always see things like secondtrade everywhere!

that is because players will now play forever except maybe a handful of them that will stick around so you always need to send your message about your business to new people.

Since ~2013 dice and other gambling site have moved from "on-chain" to "off-chain". The transaction fee simply adds up too much negative edge for the player. I believe because of the rising transaction fees, it might eventually be an interesting option for them to move to "off-chain" too (if they expect more players/wagered that way.)

If I look at the last 2 weeks, luckyb.it still had around 1,050 bets a day. This isn't much compared to the millions of bets on dice sites. However, if you imagine every bet is 2 transactions (your bet and your winnings), that's around 2,100 transactions a day. That's actually 1% of all daily bitcoin transactions - seems still a lot that way

So with the rising TX fee, they might be forced to go off-chain, which IMO is good. It leaves almost 1% capacity for other bitcoin transactions. I know people can get insulted by saying "those transactions are more important". But if you imagine that all those bets will be stored even 100+ years from now on thousands of computers.. that seems a bit silly. Only storing deposits/withdrawals, seems more realistic to me. But in the end that decision is on luckyb.it





In terms of popularity: I still prefer to compare wagered amounts. In last 2 weeks they actually have had a daily avg wagered of ~BTC157 which is actually pretty high. Still seems like a top 10 gambling site in terms of wagered amounts to me. But not in terms of bets and perhaps not in users either. It is not unlikely to imagine that they have relatively small user base that like to bet big and actually prefer to bet on-chain since it requires a bit less trust.

LuckyBit is a great website imo. I am betting there occasionally for 6 months now and I think it's a fun game. Dice is just win or lose. Plinko takes a bit longer to show the outcome of your bet and that is really fun (and you also get back some of your losses because there is no x0 multiplier ). The transaction fees aren't a big issue because I use a blockchain wallet to place multiple bets in 1 transaction (to keep the fees low). During some hours LuckyBit isn't really active but most of the day the chat is crowded and a lot of bets are placed. Comparing the betting volume to dice sites is hard because on Primedice (for example) a lot of people use faucet dust to bet. LuckyBit has a 0.002 BTC minimum which is something a large amount of people isn't willing to bet in a single bet.

You have to admit that new sites have opened which are more faster than luckybit , as we all know luckyb.it lags a lot ( at least for me ) and hence the user base is getting low and low, I wish they could do some upgrades. So, that many gamblers might head back.
