i agree, but realistic for me means, that it will be widely accepted, but it will take longer then we think. even 10-20 years. easy. and bitcoin might not be the coin that makes the break. it might just be the coin that paves the way.

Bitcoin is just a kid, the 9-10 billions marketcap is a joke compared to any other big thing.
Maybe some alt "son of bitcoin" can be something world wide, fisical and virtual currency. Maybe a bank altcoin

Fiat has its purpose and support and control from the countries, those wont change, the printed fiat may disappear, soo it will be all digital, bitcoin i do believe will be see as gold and silver, soo people will save their money at it or invest waiting the price fluctuate to get their profit.

Is bitcoin a future proof currency?

There is no proof that Bitcoin is going to be a successful currency in the future but we never know what can happen.
The only thing that we can do is wait it out and see what the next couple of years are going to bring us.

If you mean will it last, then it should do.  However, nothing is certain and the price is very volatile!

Maybe it would last. Because it is more successful and progressive. But if the time will come, the value of bitcoin would be stable and increase then doubt it would last

Depends on your definition of future,if another 100 years i dont think bitcoin can last that long, but if you are talking about 5 to 10 years, i think yes bitcoin can become the global currency and if the bitcoin user keep on flourishing then we can see bitcoin as a high price currency

I doubt it.Bitcoin really has scalability issues to become the Global currency.I'm talking about the usage of currency on an international level,example two countries establishing trading contracts with each other with bitcoins!Crypto Currencies will always be around,not sure if it can ever take over banks!

As i can see Bitcoin is a gold or a fiat for me! Because it is really a high price currency ! So if you own 1 or 2 bitcoins it is really pretty big but for the others it is something useless because they dont know it yet. So im saving some of my money to invest in bitcoin for future prices.

I think that Bitcoin was made to last. Not maybe a hundred years, in todays circumstances no one can't think that far, but definetly wasn't ment to be just a toy currency. But it depends how the things will develope in the future, maybe some even more perfect currency will be invented that will replace Bitcoin. let me know about the another big things of bitcoin, so you're no need for blaming a bitcoin with the word of "kid". LOL And what about the bank bitcoin? the way is so far for the alcoin for overtaking the bitcoin's place.  for be a world wide currency i think that is just a dream. the purpose of bitcoin is just be a good digital currency for the buy and sell in the digital world. but all of that will changing if the world will starting for using a technology in all of the elements.

Bitcoin future is really big i know because i already see the price chart in google i've already search the price before and the price in the present and the price in the future and it has a big difference when it compare to the price list you can see if you are going to search for it.
