Not directly related to Bitcoin, but the last three quotes are great and if he's thinking like this already then surely he'd be receptive of Bitcoin.

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

You realize that bitcoin is not only no solution for this,  but would greatly exacerbate the problem, right? Who is going to loan him the bitcoins needed to buy a van, when the same amount of bitcoin might buy a parking lot full of vans a few years later ?

Yes, I realise that however it was the fact that he says "There will come a point when we don't need the banks. And sayonara to the banks!"
Which I thought was great.
