My bustabit strategy testing (thus far: +2.1 BTC netted)

I like bustabit. After testing several strategies I could find on the net as well as here in bitcointalk, I couldn't help ending up with making losses sooner or later with all of them.
So, after digging a bit more into them, I started to test a new strategy since yesterday, doing custom settings.

My base multiplier is set to 1.13
The strategy is opted to counter 4 losing streaks in a row
The last streak < 1.13 seen, was round #2.273.661-#2.273.667.
The current game whilst writing this, is #2.765.472 (so 491.805 rounds further, a losing streak of < 1.13 has not occurred (yet  ))
The strategy is set to wager with a certain percentage of my balance, not a fixed number, so that I will slowly enhance my profits up bit by bit.



Here is a screenshot when I starting to adopt my new strategy:




After then, the above has been running for about an hour.
Today, it has been running for around an hour as well. Here is today's result, after running for just ~2 hours in total:



As you can see, I'm recouping slow but steady.

Off course it will fail at some point, I am not claiming any otherwise. It's gambling, whereas the house ALWAYS wins.

I am interested in how long it will last, up to the point where it will fail. When doing a couple of times, it should provide back some statistics for me, where I can adjust further tactics on.

All right. I have been running this same script previously, or at least very similar to it. Stop at 1.13 and 4 or 5 time save. It indeed runs steadily... Until the rapetrain comes. I would recommend to not leave it running overnight even if you manage to run 3 hours for example without shit hitting the fan. Other than that it's just pure luck, as always. If you happen to stop the script always before that bad streak comes, then good for you. Most of the time you won't so the wall will come at some point unfortunately. Good luck!

Oh, and just for reference I lost 500k bits with this script at the end. Yeah, no hard feelings, I know it's gambling too and house indeed always wins. Inspired by your thread I just launched the script once again with 100k starting stack.

Replenished account with 200k bits. Let see how this turns out. Screens will follow.

Hmm, according to my calculations and the algorithm I'm using, my method should be resilient towards 6 losing streaks, which is sweet 
The downside however is that it would require a bankroll of slightly over > 7 BTC, which is something I'm not willing to risk/test.

So, I have switched back to my strategy when starting this topic, but now with a few minor tweaks. Here's the result when just starting it, until now (running roughly 2 days in a row continuously):







The difference in my bankroll, is due to having done 3 withdrawals @ 0.1 BTC (100k bits) each in the meantime, and giving away some bits left and right.

Yesterday, there were 3 busts for the settings I was using. So a few extra lines of code has been added to reduce being unlucky, which now makes the script only use a certain set percentage of your bankroll to wager with.

For example, let's say you have a bankroll of 200k bits. If you set the percentage variable to like 60, that means the script only uses 60% of your bankroll to play with, effectively translated to playing with 120k bits. So if you would bust, you'd still be having 80k bits left to play with.

Hey lechatelier. The base of the script is procon's bot version. I'm using an altered version of that.

My 'journey' or 'strategy' is not primarily relying on the script, but on sense and speculating on luck. So long as I do not go busted during a session, which always will happen at some point, I try to make withdrawals during that session. I potentially could win way more if I didn't, but greed is the mother-buster of all in gambling  

The first image, is the followup since the last. 1.5 BTC profits, ~1.2 BTC netted. Yeah.
Shortly after, there were 3 or 4 bust session, and the second picture is where I am now: Nearing ~2 BTC profits, +1.5 BTC netted. Yeah again

I'm generating my coins through mining. I don't need bustabit or any other gambling thing for that to do.
For me, it's just fun and interesting to see how mechanics work; from the factual, statistical and randomness side, but also from the social side

I saw this strategy before because your graph looks familiar. I don't quite know how they did it but thanks for explaining it inhere. You better move this to gambling section. I may be following this for future referrence if I play at bustabit again. I always lose my money in it. What is your base bet?

Yes, user janggernaut had opted the same, to move this to gambling section. I'm a bit reluctant to do so because I do not wish to 'motivate' people, though that might sound kinda awkward and paradoxical 

I have no fixed basebet. Procon's bot uses a percentage of your bankroll.
The altered version on procon's I'm using from time to time, is doing a percentage of that percentage.
