I see many different types of Altcoins on CoinMarketCap.com and I was wondering how easy is it to create an Altcoin?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

I know there are companies out there which will create an Altcoin for you for a fee. But I would like to learn the process of creating an Altcoin. I wish there were better resources about it online on how to go about it.

I tell you one thing that really surprises me with the Altcoins is how high the valuations are on some of them.
I see some Altcoins which have a total market cap of a million dollars or more, and they're average daily trading volume will be around $4,000 or less.
It makes no sense to me.

There is a website offering to create your own coin, for a fee of 0.5 BTC I think. Most of those coins have no value at all and are just scams for the developpers to raise some quick easy buck during the ICO, then dump their coin at the first exchange and move on to the next scamcoin.

Create a coin is not a problem. Even here in the forum saw the subject of the creation of coins on Dashcoin platform. It's hard to create something completely new, something that will crypto community.

I've been reading through the second PDF. They're both very helpful. Is it possible to pre-mine coins with the instructions in the second PDF? Please let me know when you have a chance. Thank you.

I've made a bit more progress on trying to create a new coin. But I've come across an obstacle.
How does one get an IP address for a seed hole? Is there a list of free seed holes published somewhere online?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

the hardest part is changing the parameters and adding new features, do you have the skill to add masternode anonymous like zcash and all this? if not better to leave behind your idea, because will not attract anyone if you're not really lucky and people start investing for no reason, and please no ico, the alt section is plagued by this stupid ico coin, they are ruining the altboard with their scam

Great Guides. Love this thread.
Question for those who may know. Is it possible to design a coin that does not have a predetermined mining schedule (i.e. X coins per block and halved ever Y years, etc) but instead to have X number of coins premined at genesis and Y more coins mined on a non predetermined date in the future, and Z more coins mined on a still non predetermined date in the future... etc. ? The type of coin I am trying to develop would need to utilize this framework. Looking for creative ways to solve this challenge.
Any ideas?
