Greeting awesome people,

There is an independent TED talk here in KFUPM (A university in Saudi Arabia, Middle East). I am a student there and I would like to take the opportunity to talk about Bitcoin.

This year slogan is "Passion" so somehow I have to show a prospective of Bitcoin with passion.

What aspect of Bitcoin should I talk about since the audience differ in background and interests. I need some help from you guys, The discussion about this.

http://tedxkfupm.com/, Although it is in Arabic   Roll Eyes

Thanks.

Will take me a while to climb up again, But where is a will, there is a way...

Some ideas to link it to passion:

  • You can send your loved ones overseas money fast and almost for free
  • Bitcoin is used a lot for donations

And since bitcoins preserve your purchasing power you don't need to earn interest which would maybe make it compatible with islamic banking?

You could talk about the entrepreneurial and collaborative spirit of its users. There was a thread on here a while back called "How has Bitcoin changed your life." You might want to look at that.
