Alternatively... Just come play at sealswithclubs.eu and soon they'll be forced to accept bitcoin I don't play much poker anymore. I tried SealsWithClubs and I support their initiative but PokerStars software is much better. Now I seldom play MTT with massive traffic like PokerStars offer. I've received this standard response : Hello XXXX,
Thank you for contacting us with your suggestion.
I have now escalated this to the proper department for consideration in the future. Should this be incorporated as an alternative, you would see it displayed in the cashier. Should you require any assistance with the methods currently offered to you, please let us know.
Good luck at the tables.
Regards,

Anyone that knows anything about online poker and payment processing knows that this is an absolute no brainer. The ability for the site to move large amounts of cash extremely fast, secure and cheap is a poker sites wet dream. Black Friday gave us a glimpse of what the payment process problems can be (see FTP over $100 million in phantom deposits, ACH backlog, tens of millions stolen by payment processor IntaBill). IMO PS already knows all about bitcoins but I believe the biggest hurdle for them will be the license's they hold. While I certainly don't know many specifics of the actual license's I do know that one of the big things they have to protect against is money laundering. I am speculating that using an completely unregulated payment process (aka Bitcoins) would not be allowed by the IoM regulators, ARJEL etc etc. all pure speculation on my part I do hope for a BTC option in the cashier one day. Getting a cash out from the site instantly would be pretty sick!

I tis unlikely they will do this any time soon. It's much more in their interest to gain favor with the US gov and find a way to get in on US poker when it's legal again. Getting US players is priority number 1 for them, and they won't do anything to jeopardize that, and I'm sure their legal dept will tell them it will. I'd love it if they did accept bitcoin though.

If anyone wants to deposit to PokerStars using Bitcoin, I have a couple hundred dollars on PokerStars that I'm willing to transfer to your account there in exchange for Bitcoins.
Send me a PM if you're interested.

I really hope poker stars does not accept bitcoin now or anytime in the near future. If they do sites like seals, etc would be shut down in less than a day no matter how many Bots they have playing or if the owner is sitting on the tables pretending he is santaclause. The reason these sites are surviving because poker stars doesnot have the license as well as infrastructure to accept bitcoin plus all registered websites have to adhere by KYL and AML requirements that bitcoin unfortunately doesnot offer. It would be best for these websites to do their thing and eventually just die out when the whole world is using bitcoin and Credit Card companies are running to some weird country in Africa because thats the only place who will have Credit Cards.
